  1. I think you're best doing all mechanical mods before doing a remap. It will help gain slightly better torque and bhp on top of the remap on its own. My advice would be to use a remapper with a dyno for best results.
  2. Have you seen this? https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/hid-kit-for-8p-sb-a3.136767/
  3. I'd check to see if there's an issue with the sub which should be in the boot I believe.
  4. Hi Leo, my advice would be to get a garage to replace the EGR. You can attempt to clean it but this often doesn't resolve the issue. Cheers Steve

  7. I think a big part of it is due to the different laws of the lands. We definitely got the short straw.
  8. Are the fans I kicking in?
  9. You're welcome 😊
  10. That's definitely steep for an investigation charge. I'd still consider this as your next option. Cheers Steve
  11. True, possibly. Worth looking at though. Poorly, just a crap recall which involved a remap and restrictor fitted to the engine. No buy back option or anything.
  12. If it were me, my next port of call would be to speak to Audi. Cheers Steve
  13. Glad the problem is resolved 🙂

    water leaks

    You're welcome 🙂
  15. Your best bet is to speak to an Audi independent garage or auto electrician. I suspect it will need coding to be honest.
  16. Could be caused by the new intake, but unlikely unless the MAF sensor got messed with. You're lucky the way Audi have dealt with it re dieselgate. Here in Europe we got the short straw.

    water leaks

Oh I apologise, I thought you meant the water leaks out from under the car when ac on. No your situation is not normal. Do you have a sunroof? If so I'd be checking the channels etc. It could also be caused by failing door seals. Or the water could be running front to back and in which case I'd be checking under the Skittles panel in the engine bay for any blocked drain holes. Cheers Steve
  18. I believe most dashcams piggyback off the cigarette lighter fuse/wiring. If it was fitted by Audi then it might have its own fuse and wiring into one of fuse box spare slots I'd that makes sense. What you could do is look at the owners manual fusebox diagram. Look for where there should be blanks in the fusebox and see if you have extra fuses. Cheers Steve
  19. Has the switch unit itself failed?
  20. I believe they need coding to the car. And the rear light loom might.need some modification. A good auto electrician should be able to do this
  21. Don't get a tuning box. People have been known to report issues once they're removed. A remap is a more sensible option even if it is more expensive.
  22. You're welcome 🙂 maintenance is key. My 2002 a6 which my dad bought new, and I now own has done 332k on the original engine and gearbox. You want a car with full history bwhich is well cared for. Even if it costs you more to purchase it should stand you in good stead in the long run
  23. Haha 🤣 just seen this. Oops, silly auto correct
  24. You're welcome and fingers crossed for you 🙂
