  1. No probs. You could do a small drive, but honestly you should know by how the car runs. Obviously don't rule out injectors.
  2. Only unplug it to test to see how it runs. Don't continually drive it for miles. As I say it might not work as the A3 is more advanced than the old Volvo I removed the maf sensor on.
  3. I live near Leicester and use AC motor services in Syston, near Leicester. There's also Chapmans independent Audi specialist in Wigston Leicester but I've not used them personally.
  4. As a side note, you have to notify your insurance company if fitting them as they're classed as a modification these days.
  5. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It could be an issue with the switch.
  6. Has it got electronic power steering? If so, how olds the battery? If it's over 5-7 years old then it could be failing which is causing the steering not to work properly as it's drawing a lot of power.
  7. One of the most common causes is a loose airbag wire under the passenger seat. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It could also be the airbag deactivation switch in the glovebox.
  8. It'll definitely need to be coded.
  9. When I had a rough running Volvo 940 I disconnected the maf sensor and it ran better. I knew mad sensor was faulty. Once it was replaced it ran spot on. Not sure if you can try that trick with the A3 as it's more technical.
  10. First time I've heard of this. Sounds like a design flaw.
  11. Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂

  17. eBay says they won't but I'll do some research 🙂
  18. Did you have to run spacers etc to fit them? Just wondering if they'd bolt straight up to my c5 2wd. Have you got any pics? And what condition are the tyres?
  19. Id recommend checking eBay including international sellers.
