  1. Could this be an alternator problem causing an electrical problem?
  2. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  3. There has been similar cases. Make sure any sound deadening you're planning to fit in the wheel arches is water proof. Otherwise it'll trap moisture and rot the wings from inside out. You'd be best putting it on the bulkhead underneath the dash and footwells.
  4. Have you had the battery checked? As a failing battery can cause electrical issues. The steering could be a sensor, module or worse case scenario the rack itself.
  5. Hey kev, sorry I didn't respond. Will take a look
  6. This could be an issue with the instrument cluster. Might be worth getting an auto electrician to take a look
  7. It'll depend if codes were there to start with. If no cors and no EML then you should just be able to refit it without a computer
  8. Same buddy. Where in Leicester are you based?
  9. Very nice, and thank you. I've found a guy who says he can rebuild mine. Got to source all the parts but as you know it's not cheap. Pistons £1k+, cams £400-500, turbo £600, injectors £600 etc. Please keep us posted on how you get on collecting it. Where abouts are you based?
  10. You're most welcome, should give you many years of motoring enjoyment to come. Gives me inspiration to get my A6 sorted. Glad you got sorted with insurance. I see you're in Leicester like me 🙂 if you don't mind Me asking who did your engine rebuild? And interior work?
  11. This car looks stunning. Is it worth you trying a broker like performance direct?

Could it be an issue with a seizing brake caliper or issue with a driveshaft?
  13. Great stuff 👍 🙂
  14. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  15. I guess it's a case of keep searching eBay to be honest

Could it be a loose backing plate?
  18. Sorry to hear this John. eBay are very good at supporting buyers. Hope you persevere. How are you finding the A3?

  23. Definitely just sell them and start again
  24. Is it worth having the battery checked, as a failing battery can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins. Could the steering be a failed sensor?
  25. If the car is still under warranty it's probably worth having it in at Audi for a diagnostic check.
