  1. That's up to you. But yes you could end up with a whole there. You could try and take it off to see where the wire goes. If it is going to leave a while then you can refit it. Cheers Steve
  2. You're most welcome, and sorry for a delayed reply. The codes should be in your handbook at the front I believe. In failing that getting the code from Audi is a likely option. Cheers Steve
  3. Welcome to the forum Benny, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 the a6 ultra is a lovely car and you won't be disappointed 🙂 it should come with the 5 spoke rota wheels and I've found the standard sound system more than adequate when I've driven one. It's hard to tell if it's the facelift model without knowing when it was built. The drive will all depend on what engine and gearbox is fitted. Do you know? cheers Steve
  4. Have you had a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up? Might be worth doing Cheers Steve
  5. It doesn't look a 10 year old car to be honest! It does look.like it's been looked after 🙂 cheers Steve
  6. Good link there Mark. 🙂 It depends which TTwheels you're intending to fit and what size. Cheers Steve
  7. I don't believe it'll work with a modern phone I'm affraid. Cheers Steve
  8. Welcome to the forum Chris, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 lovely looking s3 you have there! cheers Steve
  9. Welcome to the forum John, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Is your q5 still under warranty? If so I'd be getting it booked in for Audi to take a look. cheers Steve
  10. It certainly is and youre doing the right thing. I find Google maps more accurate anyway
  11. Welcome to the forum Ash, sorry this topic has been missed. Unfortunately you'll have to go to Audi to set up the satnav. I believe they plug the car to a computer that directly connects to Audi in Germany for it to be activated. They'll charge you upto £500 for the privilege. Cheers Steve
  12. Hi Steve, I'd be very surprised if your having a wheel bearing failing on a 4 year old car. But I could be wrong. I guess it depends on the mileage
  13. Lol very good point Paul! My a6 will.need a clean too! Along with getting all the stuff ready!
  14. Welcome to the forum Jose, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 great car and lovely country you're from 🙂 cheers Steve
  15. Welcome to the forum and Tara, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 its definitely worth trying to see if you can move the battery whilst it's still connected but there won't be much wiggle room in my opinion. cheers Steve
  16. Glad you got into the car eventually Francesca, even if it wasn't the way you hoped! Glad it's not the battery etc and you'll need to get Audi to recode the keys for you. It also sounds like you need the drivers door lock and locking mechanism looked at. Cheers Steve
  17. Welcome to the forum John, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Glad you got your issue sorted and Gareth is right in saying that not many members report back to us once they've got the problem sorted. So thank you for helping other members in that regard 🙂 cheers Steve
  18. Bump.. Please can people let me know if they are still wanting to attend? I'd rather avoid a situation like last year where we only had 2 cars on the stand. I've already paid and ordered my tickets. Cheers Steve
  19. Definitely Gareth, I do my best with having a good sense of humor. However It does have a habit of coming out at inappropriate times for rare occasions! Yes, appologies Barry. Please keep us posted on how you get on. Cheers Steve
  20. Welcome to the forum and Francesca, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 i see you posted this 7 hours ago, did you get sorted? my first port of call would be to try the spare key as this will most likely indicate an issue with car rather than the key. I'm also wondering whether the battery could be flat. Are there any usual imobiliser lights flashing as normal which aren't flashing now? the last thing I'd advise is call your break down company. cheers Steve
  21. Welcome to the forum Harley, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 my only advice would be to either ring the supplier of your grill to see if they sell or know who could supply one. Or try contacting the company as shown in the picture/link to see if they will sell the part separately. cheers Steve
  22. VAG cars started to be fitted with cheat devices as early as 2006 after the PD engine was superceeded. But your right in saying it's mainly newer models affected with the 1.6tdi and 2.0tdi engines. Cheers Steve
