  1. Not a problem, glad I could help 🙂
  2. I had an issue on my a6 which made them intermittent and the fault was traced back to the brake vacuum pump. I wonder if you've damaged the system when you've forced the Piston back?
  3. Welcome to the forum Martin (from a fellow c5 owner), you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 great looking a6, but I feel.like I've seen it before on here..... Here are the threads: if it we're mine I'd have the cambelt done for peace of mind but you'll need to budget around £500 as the front of the car has to come off and it's cambelt and water pump that needs changing. It might be worth you ringing around your lovely Audi dealers as sometimes they have offers on to have the cambelt and water pump changed. cheers Steve
  4. I don't think mk1 q5 deflectors will fit. It's a tricky one as your q5 is a 2017 model which could mean they've just looked at the age and not what you've specified if that makes sense? The mk1 ran untill 2017 in some markets. Cheers Steve
  5. As I say they did this issue for various Audi models of the era including the a6. Not good really.
  6. Definitely. Are you sure there isn't a drain hole near the airbox side? Is there a gap the other side too?
  7. In.that case I wonder if it's an electrical.isdue? And as such I wonder if it's worth you getting an auto electrician to have a look? Cheers Steve
  8. You're welcome 🙂
  9. You'd be better respraying to get rid of stonechips. But unfortunately they are a fact of life and are inevitable. If it were me I'd save my money. Cheers Steve
  10. Sorry you're leaving Sue but glad you got a good deal on your a6. All the best 🙂 Steve
  11. LMAO! I can't really guess it! 😂 And I wasn't far off with my cross between Jason Statham and Donald trump lol
  12. Hi John, I believe water traps are common on other Audi models from.this area. Am I right in thinking the battery is in the same area along the bulkhead? If so you may find a drain plug there. Also if water is to fill up then you may find wet carpets in the front footwells. This definitely applies to the c5 a6. I have seen c5 owners make custom covers for the area not covered by the plastic cover (if that makes sense?). Out of aluminum or similar. Cheers Steve
  13. Hi Ruben, I'm not surprised you're excited! Paint protection can't protect the paint from a stone hitting a car at speed. It'll probably help reduce the damage but it can't stop stonechips etc. Cheers Steve
  14. Welcome to the forum Christopher, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Despite this does the roof move as it should? cheers Steve
  15. They could have knocked something but I'd be very unlikely to admit it. You should see if they'll do a diagnostic check for free to see what fault codes flag up but good luck and let us know how you get on. Cheers Steve
  16. If they are insistant on fitting a second hand engine make sure that they have service history to back.up the engine. I'd keep trying for a new engine but it will.be a long shot!
  17. Welcome to the forum Tom, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 heres a YouTube video which may help: cheers Steve
  18. Sounds like a cross between Jason Statham in transporter and Donald Trump!
  19. Hi George, what has the dealer said is exactly wrong with the engine? What fault codes came up etc. And was it a main dealer or a private garage? Cheers Steve
  20. Welcome to the forum Alex, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 cheers Steve
