  3. Wow I wouldn't pay anymore money untill.id driven it. Putting a full MOT on it isn't unreasonable in my opinion, I wonder if there's a reason why they won't? 🤔 If there's no proof of these servicing items then you'll need money off to get these jobs done. Baring in mind you'll be looking £400 minimum for a Cambelt and water pump change. Most of these warranties aren't often worth the paper they're written on. Unless it's a genuine Audi one by the main dealer.
  4. Think the fuse boxes might be on the beds of the dash.
  5. Maybe it's not working because the keys are in it. Have you got as cover or similar to help unlock the car to get the keys out.
  6. To add to cliffs comments. The first turbo blew on my A6 C5 at 75k and one day out of warranty. Audi would only cover some of the cost then. My dad was not impressed. I inherited the car with it's second turbo which lasted untill 344k miles before engine blew. No chance them covering the cot on a 8 year old car I'm afraid. Speak to turbo technics or similar.
  7. Never feel pressured to have work done at main dealers. Id go with an Audi independent for sure. I appreciate your opinion on the youths however, they might have been working in Audi on more modern stuff whereas the other garage might have been dealing with vag cars in main dealers years ago if that makes sense.
  8. Great update, I'm sure it'll help lots of other members so thank you 🙂
  9. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 check service history for proof of cambelt and water pump change, gearbox oil services and quattro services. Make sure all electrical items work. Oh and check out buyers guides on YouTube
  10. You need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up as it could be all sorts of issues

  12. They're definitely rare these days. The wheels were an optional extra too.
  13. Lol now that's funny.
  14. Check the battery tray area and pollen filter housing to see if that's letting water in.

    E-Tron Recall

Good point. As it's heater related in this case I wonder if there's a risk of fire? I just think the design and development of EVs has been rushed. Compared to hybrids which we've had since the late 1990s with the MK1 Prius.
  16. Truthfully I do not know. It's what I witnessed when working at VW. Also it's the same on my wife's Jag. I think passenger seat gets moved more as different passengers. Whereas the driver side doesn't move as much.

    E-Tron Recall

If it adds any reassurance, when I worked at VW a software update could be classed as a recall.

    New Q3

Very nice Brian, glad you're pleased with it 😊
  19. To add to Gareths sound advice, it's often the passenger front seat airbag wiring that's the issue

    New Q3

Very nice. Have you got it, it on order?
  21. Fingers crossed you have them prewired.
  22. Glad you got sorted
  23. Speak to remappers about mpg improvements. But bare in mind it can put more strain on the car. Service history is key.
  24. Rear bases are the same but backs are different I believe. Fronts will be direct fit, but biggest issue with air bag wiring. The pin connector has to match yours. If you try to mess about with the wiring it'll most likely throw an airbag warning light. If you find front seats you like and connector is different then the easiest option to to swap your current seat airbags over to the replacement seats.
  25. The poor car is sat on my drive. I just cannot find someone who is experienced with the coding. As no one can give me a clear answer if any 2.5tdi will fire up with my ECU etc. finding a second hand engine is difficult. Finding one with service history that hasn't got any issues. Again I've thought about buying a donor car and having the engine, ecu and injection pump transferred to mine but keeping my instrument cluster but again finding someone to do the coding is proving problematic. I did think of doing an engine swap from a different car but this did not go down too well with my dad who was the original owner. Hos view was an Audi should have an Audi engine. It upsets me seeing it the way it us and would love it back on the road.
