  1. Audi have released pictures of what they believe to be the future of transportation. It starts out as an autonomous car which has a drink on.the roof which has the capability to lift the passenger compartment! Naturally this technology is many years away of becoming a reality but it is interesting to see how the auto manufacturers are trying to help relieve the traffic congestion problems. What do you think? Here's the link: https://www.topgear.com/car-news/future-tech/heres-your-autonomous-flying-audi-future Pictures taken from.the Topgear article.
  2. Hi Alex, I would suspect at 140k your clutch is on it's way out and I believe it is the clutch and flywheel that need to be replaced together. My best advice would be to ring around local garages to get quotes. This especially if you are considering taking your a4 to Audi. You may find they may have offers on.for changing the clutch as they do with the cambelt and water pump in some cases. Cheers Steve
  3. Hmm, ok. Well.if it's not the handling or tyres then I wonder what it is. Does the noise happen at specific speeds, road conditions etc?
  4. Welcome to the forum Edward, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Well the light could be to do with DPF. Did you take it for a good motorway run once you.heaed it could be the DPF. Also do you know if you have had the emissions recall carried out, and if so when? My other advice would be to get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up. Cheers Steve
  5. Bad news all, the organisers of this meet and cruise have prosponed it due to a family event arising. However they are going to rearrange the event in the summer. I'll keep you all posted when I get the new date. Cheers Steve

  11. Glad I could help :) just to add my personal experience, the last 5 cars that have been bought by my family including m, my wife and both my parents have cone from main dealers as approved used. The last 2 cars bought from independent garages cost alot more in repairs as more things went wrong with them. Well the theory was, buyer's wanted 4x4 for winter conditions (ie snow and ice) and in the spring/summer buyer's wanted convertibles. There maybe some truth in this but it's less obvious now due to the popularity of SUVs. Cheers Steve

  19. Welcome to the forum Lyndon, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I would like to think that over the next 4 months the price will drop especially when we get towards the summer months. In terms of negotiatation I think this will depend on whether or not you are taking finance. However my experience is that the German manufacturers are less inclined to negotiate and reduce the price whereas I've found manufacturers such as Vauxhall are willing to negotiate. If you are taking finance then you are more likely to get a better price. I.e money off or more for your px. Obviously you've also got the scrappage scheme going on at the minute with Audi which could be worth considering depending on the value/age of your current car. Also you should find the Q5 models that are available from Audi approved used are better than those more private garages but obviously this is not always definite. But they will have full Audi service history, low miles and will.come with warranty. Hope I've helped :) Cheers Steve
  20. Welcome to the forum Bob, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Wow those bushes are expensive! The original a5 was based on the a4 b8 platform and I would not be surprised if the bushes fit. Cheers Steve
