  1. Ah, more unlikely it being that then. Unless not correctly coded to the car. Id guess a sensor. Not sure what diagnostic tool that's been used but it might need a more sophisticated one from Audi or an Audi independent specialist. Also a bit more unusual would be an issue with the instrument cluster.
  2. I think I'd be worth you test driving the s3 saloon to see how that feels compared to your old s3. What if you look at an sq3?
  3. Have you had the battery checked? A failing battery can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins.
  4. Unless I've missed it, what colour wing are you looking for? Also I dont think A3 wings fit the A4 unfortunately.
  5. That is a worry. Hopefully they rectify this quickly
  6. Think the top of the dash gets covered in leather. Or it does in the US anyway.
  7. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 yep I'd recommend you get the gearbox serviced sooner rather than later.
  8. Don't get me started. I know how hard it is to find people to work on audis.
  9. Have you tried eBay but including international sellers?
  10. Have you tried Chapmans Audi specialist in Leicester? I've not used them but worth a shot?
  11. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. You sure there's not a fly ect in the car? Or lock the car with someone inside to test the fly theory. I think the alarm is in the boot
  12. Definitely worth getting the ECU testing place to have a go fixing it. Surely the gearbox specialist you've previously used could remove the megatronic unit?
  13. There's a picture of the buzzer in the back of the cluster here: http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a4-a4-cabriolet-s4-forum-b6-chassis/84577-buzzer.html
  14. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. I'd suspect a faulty switch or wiring.
  15. I notice on the other post you've had a dpf and egr delete. I wonder if this has anything to do with this work and the remap? Apparently the removal of a dpf ect can increase engine temps which can put more strain on pistons, turbo ect.
  16. I'd recommend Yiu try eBay.
  17. When trying eBay definitely consider international sellers.
  18. Glad it's all motd 🙂 that's the thing with Audi's, no matter how old they get the maintenance bills remain expensive. I could be wrong but as the garage has supposedly fixed the fault then there should be some guarantee on the work or parts replaced. I'd be speaking to them asap. Obviously there's a chance it's not the ignition barrel as you've suspected but definitely worth a shot. Haynes don't really do any recent cars. Might be worth trying Bentley manuals. They're not cheap and it might be geared more to American versions (engines etc) but the ignition system should be the same even if it's on the opposite side.
  19. Has he got back to you? Definitely keep chasing it with them.
  20. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Check service history for proof of cambelt and water pump change and gearbox oil service. Make sure all electrical items work. Check out buyers guides on YouTube.
  21. Are you retrofitting xenons or replacing like for like?
  22. I stand corrected. I thought the legislation came in.
  23. Yep you'll need all wiring, the speakers, tweeter, amp, sub etc. Definitely buy complete from a donor. And yes potentially might need coding.
  24. Sorry to hear this Paul, it's terrible customer service. I think most manufacturers don't care about there customers if I'm honest. I know ford and vauxhall already the same from personal experience.
