  1. I hate to be barer of bad news but the golden rule would have been to Check the car over before driving away. Have you got proof of the build you ordered? .you're only option is trading standards
  2. I feel your pain. I've been in a similar boat with my A6. There's an independent Audi specialist in Leicester called chapmans. But I've not used them personally.
  3. Id recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Is there any water in the lights or entering the cabin which could be affecting the wiring?
  4. Believe it should be a timing belt which should be chained every 5 years or 120k miles which ever comes first. Audi now claiming the years doesn't matter just 120k however I think that's mad as the belt will perish over time.
  5. Does the pump have to be coded to the car and if so has this been done correctly? Regarding the egr what kind of driving do you do, could it be blocked again?
  6. Think they should just pop out when using a screwdriver or similar
  7. Sorry to hear of your situation. I don't blame you for wanting to change the c7 I'd say drive a c8 and see what you think. The fact it's newer would help improve reliability.
  8. Darkside seem pretty good. For what I need they seem to be the best value for an uprated clutch with dmf.
  9. How old is the battery, if the cars been sat and battery is fudged then it can cause unusual fault codes as a failing battery causes electrical gremlins
  10. If you kill the power to it by disconnecting the battery then you'll need the radio code for when you turn it back on
  11. Could it be the sensor that lets the lights know the doors open? Have you done a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up?
  12. I don't think it'd fit. But if yours is the 1.9pd which I think it is then I think the 01e 6 speed gearbox might fit. Clutch diameter is 245mm I believe. Or this Is the case with my A6 01e, but it's mated to the 2.5tdi. But 6 speed was fitted to the 1.9pd I'm certain.
  13. Speaking as someone with a wrecked engine on a a6 c5, unless you get an engine with an identical engine code you'll have to code any different engine to the ECU, injection pump and instrument cluster. At least that's the case with my A6. My A6 has a one year only version of the 2.5 and finding another has been a nightmare.
  14. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. As it's under warranty I'd be getting it to Audi. It's good youve recorded it.
  15. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the turbo
  16. Have a look at powerflow exhausts. My brother and friend has used them and been happy with the results. Budget £500-600 at a guess
  17. An imobiliser issue will prevent it running as ECU imobiliser blocks the fuel pump. Are there any lights on the dash. Also is it worth getting a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up?
  18. Flat bottom wheel makes all the difference.
  19. Definitely get them to fix this properly before you collect
  20. I can't say I've heard anything of the sort yet. But I know they were investigating the vehicle owner of the car that caught fire on criminal damage charges etc.
