  1. Hi Phillip, before you jump to assume it's the pump have you checked the fuse? If you've tried to use the washers in this very cold weather then the fuse could have blown. Cheers Steve
  2. You're welcome, glad I could help :) Please let us know how you get on and I do hope that the new sensor solves the problem :) Cheers Steve

Hmm, truthfully I'm.at a loss. Have you asked the garage about it? Cheers Steve
  4. Nice one Mark! Will love to see the finished product :) Cheers Steve
  5. Hmm, well I suspect you could get it from your local Audi dealer. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  6. Correct both! It is CSI New York :) And here's another
  7. Welcome to the forum Craig, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I agree with Gareth on this but if it's not the tyres then it could be the tracking. Cheers Steve
  8. Exactly, rarity is good! :) Nice one, just let me know if you're interested in attending any :)

  10. The simplest thing to increase performance is a remap. The other half won't necessarily tell then ;) In my honest opinion I'd keep it stock for the sole reason you a driving a guaranteed future classic! Cheers Steve

    MPG

Welcome to the forum Bruce, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) My key question is how or why has your tank been drained? Obviously the fuel gauge will show a lower amount of fuel and the same for the distance to empty on the computer. But I'm unsure about the mpg. On the one hand it should because the car has done less miles with the fuel however if the ignition and computer were off then the car may not twig about about the loss of fuel in relation to mpg if that makes sense. The car may use the current fuel.level as reference. Hope that all makes sense. Cheers Steve
  12. Welcome to the forum Malc, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Yes you'll.need a radio code and this should be in your handbook :) Cheers Steve
  13. No need to apologise! I'm just sorry to hear this has happened. I can't really help much though as I'm not the most knowledgeable on radios. Sorry. Cheers Steve
  14. Oh, sorry to hear that. Thanks! I was very lucky!
  15. How has this not been taken down?!
  16. Correct Pete! Here's a new one. It's a US crime series
  17. Thanks for your kind comments George, my a6 was owned by my dad before me and has covered 328k on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt ;) My escort is a mk5b built in 1993 so it's just turned 25! I have to say the grey colour really sets off your a3 and it's even rarer being a 3 door 😃 Audi are stopping production of the 3 door at the end of next year because they make so little of them. By the way, you be more than welcome to display your a3 at the up and coming shows we are attending. Just have a look at the events section and let me know if you'd be interested in coming to any of them :) Cheers Steve
  18. You're welcome, glad I could help :) I know what you mean, but I guess it reduces the risk of the actual arms failing if you see what I mean.

    Car issue

You're welcome :) Well my two thoughts are: 1. For peace of mind gets a diagnostic check carried out at Audi. That way they can see if any faults flag up. Plus they can reset the computer for the gearbox. And if there is a software update required on the gearbox computer then Audi can do this. 2. As long as there are no clonking noises or crunch noises and the gears change smoothly then I'd just monitor it and if it happens again the book it in. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  20. Hi Graham, I've had this on my a6 and it's the whole arms that we're replaced not just the bushes. You could try TPS or eurocarparts as I suspect they'll be cheaper than audi. https://tps.trade Cheers Steve
  21. Nope, I'll give you a clue and say it has our favorite spy in it ;)
  22. Welcome to the forum George, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) lovely looking a3 you have there and a very nice first car! My first car was a Ford escort which didn't even have airbags! I still have the escort but obviously not as a daily! 😀
  23. Fair doos lol.
  24. Welcome to the forum Dave, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) As a guess I would say yes. My key question s would be, what lights are coming up on the dash? Are you getting the glowplug light on or the emissions light on? Needless to say a new sensor will be cheaper than a new dpf! And have you had a diagnostic check carried out? Cheers Steve
  25. Glad we could help Andrew, and glad you got sorted :) Cheers Steve
