  1. Where did you get the figures? I suspect you'll get 10mpg less than that to be honest. My friend has a Passat 2.0 diesel and can get around 800-900 miles per tank!
  2. This is another good idea Adam :) What I have started to do is pin/feature a video, link or article which may prove useful to members. I have been puttin them in the relevent secions such at Q7, a6 c7, wheels and tyres etc. If you come across any useful ones then feel free to do the same :) Cheers Steve
  3. Black edition is one of the best specs :) you'll find sunroofs, adaptive cruise control and head up displays are rare and expensive extras. Here's a link from honest John with some of the nice extras: https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/our-cars/audi-a6/the-top-5-optional-extras-on-the-a6/ Hope it's useful :) Cheers Steve
  4. You're welcome, glad I could help :)
  5. Not a problem :) I'm unsure to be honest. But even with steady driving I don't think you'll get the same mpg as the 2.0 diesel. Hypothetically yes, however if it's just had the recall done and the car is for sale then I would be very careful. Obviously if it was done a year ago then you should be fine :) What spec are you thinking of getting? Cheers Steve
  6. Ah ok, hope it's sorted quickly :)
  7. Hi Martin, My first advice would be to get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up as a flashing glow plug light could be caused by various things. I do know that the B7 was subject to a recall for the injectors and it might be worth to see if there is a recall outstanding on your car or whether it's been done. The light flashing could also be due to the turbo under or over boosting which can be caused by the turbo pressure sensor failing. Or even the dpf sensor failing. One thing I would advise I'd that audis and other German cars don't like being fixed on the cheap as this can cause even more issues later on. I'd advise fix it properly and then you reduced the risk of it going again in the near future. Hope I've helped. Cheers Steve
  8. Welcome to the forum Nick, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I'd say look on eBay first as this will give you a good idea of specs and colour combos etc. Then I'd look at specific Audi, VAG or german car specialists. I wouldn't always direct members to other forums/clubs but there are dedicated TT clubs which will.be a good place to look as an enthusiast owned car is often more well looked after. Hope I've helped. Cheers Steve
  9. Welcome to the forum Sam, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Have you checked the service history to see when the oil was last changed? It might be worth you booking your a1 in for a diagnostic check and for an oil change. Sorry I can't help more. Also we'd love to see pics of your a1 in France :) we have a whole section on audis from around the world. Here's the thread: Cheers Steve
  10. You're welcome :) Glad it's booked in. The diagnostic charge is £60, however this charge is wavered if you have the repair carried out at the Audi garage. When your a3 is in, ask them if there is any factory good will they can give you (discount) as the Sat nav shouldn't have failed so soon in my opinion. The extended warranty can be good but don't forget to read the small print. Cheers Steve
  11. Welcome to the forum Simon, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Have you got any pictures? Is the rust definitely on the door blades (polished bit) or is it on the actual doors? Cheers Steve
  12. Welcome to the forum Adam, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) If you've reset the system then I'd say you're on the right lines and say it's either the cable or antena. Cheers Steve

    Lovin' it!

Glad you're loving the TT and glad the garage sorted the issues Sean :) You'd be more than welcome to come and display your TT at the up and coming Audi shows on our club display :) Cheers Steve
  14. Lamborghini urraco
  15. It's cold here too in the Midlands. -3 so far with a sprinkling of snow. But it'll be nothing compared to what you've got I'm guessing!
  16. Definitely Paul, thought we'd have more but we've still got time 😉
  17. Looks good Paul :) I used to use brasso which did Wonders on chrome :)
  18. Glad the info was useful Wayne :) The a6 will definitely be more fuel efficient than.the jag by far! And the bi turbo is lovely but not as economical as the 2.0 litre obviously. Unless you really need it then get Quattro. Otherwise don't bother as you'll save on fuel. From the cars you've had, you'll be more than fine with a fwd Audi 😉 From my time working at Volkswagen the dpf and EGR issues were often seen after or during the time the car had come in for the emissions update/recall. Hence why I mentioned about it. If the car has just had the recall done in the last month then I wonder be very wary. From the miles you're doing you'd be more than ok :) Cheers Steve
