  1. Welcome to the forum Dan, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 nice looking a3 you have there 🙂 youd be better.off fitting brighter bulbs rather than headlights as you'll be looking at fitting Xenon headlights which are not a straight swap. cheers Steve
  2. Here is a new one! A boat yard in the Netherlands called autoboot has built a boat around an Audi A4 convertible. Here is the link for more info: http://www.boatmaginternational.com/9176-audi-a4-convertible-turned-into-cruising-boat/ https://www.autoboot.eu I think it looks good but too expensive in my opinion. Cheers Steve
  3. You're welcome Scott, glad I could help (kind of) and I do hope you get the answers you want 🙂 please keep us posted 🙂 cheers Steve
  4. Glad you've had a response Mike and glad they have offered you a decent discount on new tyres. My question is the discount on Dunlop tyres or any brand? Would you really want to put dunlops on the a7 again?! Also they have acknowledged that there is a problem in light of giving you the discount, however it is still concerning they haven't acknowledged the risk they put you, your family and other a7 owners has you rightly pointed out. Is it worth writing back, thanking bthem for the discount but also mentioning the safety risk to see what kind of response you get? Cheers Steve
  5. Hi Paul is it both rear windows or just one? My first advice would be to use your spare key to see if it does it with that. Then hopefully you can narrow down if it's the key or the car. Cheers Steve
  6. The interior looks lovely and I know what you mean about the bushed allumium. I think the Walnut trim sets the interior off nicely and blebds it all together 🙂
  7. Hi Liam, I'd take it back to the garage to see what fault they find. Even though it feels like the clutch system it maybe the engine in which case you're covered. Cheers Steve
  8. You're welcome 🙂 well the car is 10 years old so it's done below average mileage. Most cars cover 12k a year so this a4 is below average. its good that it's got full service history as this is a must in my opinion. the price should reflect what spec and extras it has. The seller will also affect the price. I dealers charge more than private sales.
  9. Oh I hate predictive text!! At least it just said dog and not anything worse! You have a good point about the power steering Gareth. I'm not sure if it's hydraulic or electric. But if it is electric then the battery should be the first thing to check. Would you agree? Cheers Steve
  10. Welcome to the forum Yas, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Here's a YouTube video which may help: i personally wouldn't sacrifice 10k miles for 2 options as i do 25k miles a year. Cheers Steve
  11. Glad you got the RNSE sorted despite it being a fiddly job. I can't say I've ever heard of the aditive but you could also try dpf cleaner etc. The power steering issue could be the pump or the pulley usually they start to become squeeky when they're going. As it was in my case for the pulley. Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂 cheers Steve
  12. Less than a month to go for VAG Tuner Live! ☺️ Please can people confirm numbers and let me know once they've paid for their ticket. Cheers Steve
  13. Welcome to the forum James, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 im glad you're pleased with your allroad they are a lovely vehicle 🙂 what options have you got? i agree about RR reliability as it isn't great! cheers Steve
  14. Welcome to the forum Scott, you'll find the members on here are friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 i would say Everytime the timing belt/waterpump is removed then I'd advise renewing them. As the water pump can leak afterwards. cheers Steve
  15. Hi Mark you'll be able to do this with your a3. If you press and hold the unlock button down then all electric windows should lower. If you press anf hold the lock button then the windows will go up. I believe all Audi's and Volkswagens since 2002 have had this feature. Cheers Steve
  16. I'd say keep the chrome (but I'm biased as I love chrome!) Especially if you have chrome window surrounds. You can't go wrong with black wheels to be honest or graphite. Cheers Steve
  17. Can't say I've used any on any car I've owned but my wife has used halfords leatheret ones which were reasonable 🙂
  18. The short answer is very! It's was a very expensive option when new! And it's a gorgeous colour in my opinion 🙂 there aren't many yellow Audi's in the club to be honest.
  19. My brother.is sitting A level exams but some of the children I work with are sitting GCSEs and they're finding it tough! I'm so glad this point of life I don't have to do them!
  20. Welcome to the forum Chris, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 lovely looking Audi you have there 🙂
  21. Steve Q

    Help

I'm assuming you mean pre and post facelift? Bumper and bonnet from.yhe previous model (8l) definitely won't. As yours is a 2003 model.if you want to fit post facelift parts then you also need headlights and wings apart from.thr bonnet and bumper. Cheers Steve
  22. Oh the c5 is a cracking motor, I do love mine!
  23. Sometimes you find that the connectors for the abs get surface rust and if this is cleaned off the sensor can start to work again. Cheers Steve
  24. Welcome to the forum Mark, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 lovely looking a3 you have there 🙂 cheers Steve
