  1. Wow that's good going Paul! 30 years no claims!! I can't get past 5 lol 😂 I'm sure that means you'll.be at the show then 😀
  2. I can't speak for BMW but I'm sure it was the designs for the Austin 7 we gave to the Japanese and which they built under license. I believe Austin even went to the trouble if bringing Japanese engineers back to their factories as well.
  3. What a great walk through Tom and I'm sure it'll prove useful :) I've pinned the post to make it easier for other members to find :) sorry your post hasn't been responded to sooner. I see you're from Kuwait, don't forget to show us pics if your a7 in your country, in our Audi's from around the world thread: https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/8438-audis-from-around-the-world/ Cheers Steve
  4. You're welcome :) It does look good, and appears to have been well looked after :) I say this as the buttons for the climate air-conditioning look good and the lacquer hasn't peeled off which is a common trait of these. As it has the climate air con, make sure it works as it'll be expensive to fix if it's not working. It's also got the sports seats and 3 spoke sports steering wheel, which may have been optional extras. I know they were an optional extra on my car. You'll notice there are 2 buttons on the steering wheel, these are to shift gears. Make sure the gear changes are smooth both in manual and auto modes as problems can be expensive to fix. I've also noticed that the cupholder has the front missing, it might be worth asking the garage if they can fit your existing a6 cupholder to the newer purchase :) Ah nice! Which part of Leicester did you live?
  5. Glad you got sorted Joe :) Cheers Steve
  6. Sorry to hear this Paul, let's hope you get it fixed before the show! We've still got a month! ;) To be fair I've still got to get bodywork done on my a6 too!
  7. Now this is interesting, I would never have guessed that the AAs roots were so unique!
  8. Welcome to the forum bLee, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Wow, you've had alot of work carried out! I'm assuming the garage have done a diagnostic check? And have they checked the dpf, egr or pistons? Cheers Steve
  9. Correct! But which one lol
  10. Webasto (folding sunroof)
  11. Welcome to the forum Chris, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Great to see a fellow c5 owner on here! :) The 2.7 is a great engine and is worth a punt, plus they are getting quite rare now! It's worth checking the service history to see what work it's had done. Obviously listen out for any wistling from the turbos and make sure there's no major hesitation when driving as turbos can be very expensive to replace! Listen out for any knocking from the front of the car which could be things such as engine mounts, suspension components or worse case a driveshaft. Is it auto or manual? Also check for signs of rust on the front wings as this can be an expensive job to replace these. In terms of electrics, make sure everything works! Ie the air con which can cost around £1000 as a worst case scenario (and is in the case with mine, hence why I don't have air con!) How come is your current a6 dead/dying? And have you got any pics? (I love to see fellow c5 owners cars!!) Cheers Steve
  12. No extra blurring required lol 😂 This Audi was seen in teenage mutant Ninja turtles 2014 film. Here's a new one. The clue is that it's seen in a street racing film. I know how much you love them Paul!!
  13. I doubt you'll have a tracker. With regard to the keyless, are there little black squares on the door handles? If so it should be keyless. Cheers Steve
  14. Sounds good Carl :)
  15. Welcome to the forum Buck, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) What kind of driving are you doing? Ie tow, motorway etc. Also I've found putting premium fuel in both my diesel cars has improved the mpg slightly. Cheers Steve
  16. Looks nice Carl :) what features has it got? Cheers Steve
  17. Yea they should fitbas the body shape is the same but I'm unsure about the gap. As I say you may have to have the new lights coded to the car. If you're fitting the updated rear lights then you may as well fit the updated headlights too. Cheers Steve
  18. Welcome to the forum Naz, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Now I'm sure the US rear lights and headlights are different to the European spec ones. I think the European spec ones cannot be converted to have the sweeping indicators. I think the only way round it for you would be to buy a second hand set of the newer style light clusters and having them coded in (,if required). Cheers Steve
  19. Wow! now I would never have guessed boxing! Was the yellow a simple for his local football team or something?
  20. Certainly is Gareth! I just think there are alot of complications to over come. Ie how do you police the air space, give way, change direction etc. I think it would need to be something similar to back to the Future part 2 to be honest! As per these pictures.
  21. Glad you're sorted Carl, and its definitely peace of mind! That'll be another 5 years until you have to worry about it :)
