Welcome to the forum Antony :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Sorry to hear your having issues. I believe the water getting into the battery compartment and footwell is caused by the water channels being blocked by debris, leaves, dirt etc. Once the water starts seeping into the cabin in interacts with the electrical systems which run behind the dash. The a6 has a fuse box on either side of the dash. The ends of the dash pull off to reveal the fuses etc. It then causes havok with the systems. My best advice is to get an auto electrician on the case but I suspect it could have affected the module for the central locking. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve

So today we had a rolling road day at Street Racers, Mill Street, Syston which had a reasonable turnout. The event kicked off with breakfast at the birstall services before making our way to the venue. The event was a joint event between the Audi owners club.com and the general public. This was great as it allowed a mixture of cars to be tested. the results: 2006 bmw 330d - 350bhp with 700nm torque. Sports exhaust fitted. Marks TT RS 251bhp at the wheels 1987 bmw 3 series (325) rally car (stock engine) 166bhp and when new produced 170bhp My brothers Suzuki swift 1.5 (stock). When new it produced 101bhp and on the rolling road it produced 103bhp! This came as a surprise to us!! Stock Seat ibiza FR 151bhp at the wheels Overall it was a great day and thoroughly would recommend it!!. As you've probably realised my a6 wasn't at the event as it's still being rebuilt after the accident it was involved in. I will be putting it on the rollers Soon though!! Thanks for reading Cheers Steve

Welcome to the forum Dan :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Don't put yourself down! Owning an rs6 is an achievement! And the c5 version of the a6/s6/RS6 is a cracking car! Not that I'm biased or anything lol Cheers :) Steve

Not a problem, glad I could help :) Cheers Steve

I think you'd be looking around the £500 mark. That's if it's been done properly, ie painted on both sides etc. Cheers Steve

Hi Steve welcome to the forum :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Yes I mirrors should be able to be folded in manually but they swivel upwards instead of fold straight in. I've attached a couple of pics to show you :) Hope IV helped :) Cheers Steve

Lol I know exactly how you feel! Even I'm struggling at the mo with spare time!
-
Wow!.that's a lot! Baring in mind this doesn't include the bumper or any.other parts!
-
You're welcome :) In terms of breakers yards. I use HM spares in leicester, they often have a3's in a d they're a decent bunch who work there :) you can contact them on 0116 2666660. The bumper and slam panel will fit it. would then just be a case of getting the correct radiator and brackets but I'm unsure on the exact ones though. Sorry. Hope I've helped Cheers Steve

B7 RS4 - Toucan yellow. Is mine the only one?
Steve Q replied to ScottA's topic in Audi A4 (B7) Forum
That's clearly a rare car. I'd be keeping that as a future classic! :) -
Hi George welcome to the forum :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Sorry to hear you've had an accident. I believe the radiators are different between the 1.6 and 2.0. have you tried any local breakers yards? Or even ebay to get the parts individually. What you'll need is the bumper, brackets, reinforcement bar, radiator brackets. Hope IV helped Cheers Steve

Hi Matt, Usually water in.the boot often can be linked back to a number of things. 1. Light seals have failed letting water in. 2. Boot seal has failed a d is letting water in. 3. Sunroof (if fitted) channels for drainage are blocked. Obviously the water then builds up in the wheel well. Unsure on any other causes to be honest. Unless your car has been involved in a rear end collision and has been incorrectly repaired. Please keep.us posted :) Sorry I can't help more. Cheers :) Steve
