  1. Are people Still interested in this meet up? Cheers Steve
  2. Is there anyone else interested in coming along to the rolling road day? In terms of me I'll be there and the a6 will be there in spirit. It's due to go in for a rear end rebuild imminently in light of the collision. Cheers Steve
  3. That's fantastic service! I do like the AA (on the whole) far better than the RAC from my experience.
  4. Well replacing g the sensor will.be a cheaper start than replacing the dpf! Keep us posted on how you get on :) Cheers Steve
  5. Yep definitely the switch. Let's hope they can sort it asap :)
  6. Thought we hadn't had one of these in a while! Can you guess What film is this rs6 from?
  7. That set is supposed to.be good but not had any first hand experience. The easiest thing to do would be to fit S Line suspension. It'll bolt straight on as it was often an optional extra on.thr SE models. Thats what I would personally do. This then shouldn't affect your insurance :) Obviously with any kit you fit you will need to get the tracking checked. Hope IV helped :) Cheers Steve
  8. Yea does sound like this could be the cause. Your best bet is to get it booked into Audi. As Piotr said they'll be able to do a diagnostic check at the very least :) Cheers Steve
  9. You're welcome :) Do you.know when the fluid was last changed? Cheers Steve
  10. Hi Phil, sorry you're having issues. IV had a look.on.google but not much has turned up. I'm wondering though if this is caused by a faulty ignition switch? As your TT is still under warranty it might be worth you getting it booked in at audi. You.may find d there may have been a recall in relation to.this issue. Sorry if I've told you how to suck eggs! Cheers Steve
  11. Wow! I think.it was -12 round my way! I'm surprised my Ford escort kept going lol I have to say I was freezing! I was sat in it whilst driving g with 3 layers on!! Hard choice whether to put the poor heater to my feet, hands or windscreen!
  12. Welcome to the forum Paul :) You'll find d the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) What kind of driving g are you doing? I ask as I'm wondering whether the dpf is able to do it's regeneration cycle properly. Wgat garage are you using? I too live in leicestershire and use AC motor services in Syston. Brilliant garage and very knowledgeable. Please note I have not links to them bar them fixing and servicing my a6. Cheers Steve
  13. Welcome to the forum Craig :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) As piotr.has asked we need to know what engine you have and what gearbox you have so in order to give you more accurate info :) Cheers Steve
  14. Looks great! Sure has improved visibility :)
  15. You're welcome :) Glad your.loving it! You'll love it.on.yhe longer runs :)
  16. Do you remember the winter of 2010 or 2011 which was the same? I was still.using my Ford escort as a daily then and I came to it one morning h with the doors iced shut, windscreen iced over both inside and out, pedals iced over and dials iced over! That was a fun drive I can tell ya! The dials we're frozen to the point that only the speedo worked lol. I may have e to consider some winter tyres, even if it gives me an excuse to get different style wheels lol
  17. Could you give me a picture of your central console (gear stick area). I wonder if the battery has died this allowing the electronic handbrake to disengage then allowed the car to roll. I'm assuming you didn't leave it in gear? Good to see you've already ordered a battery. Cheers Steve
  18. Nice one Dave :) nice to see you're looking ahead :) can't say I've ever used winter tyres to be honest. Have you noticed out winter's seem to appear in January-february time.
  19. Oh no! I have a couple of questions. 1. Has your car got an electronic handbrake? 2. Has the car ever had a new battery? If not i suspect the battery has come to the end of it's operational life. As Piotr has said you do need to consider the possibility that someone has either crashed into your car or someone has tried to steal it by towing it. You may need the lower suspension arms re attaching or replacing from the looks of it. Does the car look.likr it's moved from where you parked it? Cheers Steve
  20. I have to agree with Trevor. The first port if call would be a diagnostic check to help identify the fault. Cheers Steve
  21. I get the impression they've dropped the other 2 for this for some reason. I guess they're trying to prepare for the future in light of the emissions scandal
  22. How odd. It's good that you've checked all the things I've suggested :) in terms of suspension I don't think any major components should be on their way out just yet. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  23. Hi Keith welcome to the forum :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I have some questions... What is the Audi dealer saying? What tyres are they? What's the total mileage on the car? Obviously the first two things that need to be checked are Tyre pressures, tracking and wheel balancing. Sorry if I'm telling you how to suck eggs! Also dont forget to check the condition of the wheels for any cracks or buckling. Obviously if the car has covered high mileage then certain parts of the suspension such as the bushes and suspension arms could be wearing out. Cheers Steve
  24. Hi there, here are so e YouTube videos iv found that might be useful :) I've tried to.find a video on how to remove the heater controls but without success. Sorry. But looking online I was incorrect and the radio has to come out before the heater controls come out anyway. So it's irrelevant. Hope the videos helpful though. Cheers Steve
