  3. So true! But alcohol and chocolate I'm happy lol. The problem is, when you want sometimes as an adult you just go out and buy it where as this is possible as a kid.

  8. Hi Adeel Do your wheels not have a manufacturer or number on them? I appreciate that they are RS4 style wheels so the manufacturer maybe a bit vague. But if there is a part number might be worth putting that in a search with the word wheel on Google. It's a long shot but you never know. I speak from experience with this as i got given a steering wheel boss a few years ago. I put in the part number and the word wheel or wheel boss and it came up. It was still available from the original supplier. In failing that I use a breakers yard called hm spares in Leicester. I appreciate they are far way from you but might be worth giving them a call. They are a decent bunch :) unsure if they post though. Hope IV helped :) Cheers Steve
  9. That's good then. Another thing.you.coumd try is speak.to.the previous owners listed on the log book. Im Sure they can advise you on what major work the cars had. That's not a bad idea to be honest :) but as I say my a6 has covered 328k and even went to.europe this year and didn't skip a beat! :) Cheers Steve
  10. You're welcome :)
  11. Sounds good Paul :) Can't say I've ever used it but i think Piotr has. Cheers Steve
  12. You're welcome :)
  13. You're welcome :) glad I could help :) It's a big.job but.best way for piece of mind. To be fair I would argue that if it's done 215k then it must have been looked after. I mean the PD engine is strong but no engine can cover that mileage without reasonable maintainance. Cheers :) Steve
  14. Hi Kev, as a family we have always gone for new rather than recon. My a6 last had a genuine Audi turbo at 75k. It's now in 328k with that same turbo (2.5tdi). Also my sister's 2001 1.9tdi gold has just had a a replacement turbo at 90k which cost approx £900. But we felt it was worth it as our philosophy is better the devil.yiu know than the One you don't. Sorry I can't really answer your question about recon turbos. Just thought I'd mention my experience of new turbos. Cheers Steve
  15. You're welcome :) glad I could help :) Cheers Steve
  16. Welcome :) nice looking a4 and great spec :)
  17. That's true but even so it probably will make a slight difference. Oops sorry me being stupid lol. Black still.goes or even white?! Yep the mapper would be able to tell as they will.know what the stock map should look like it terms of power and torque curve :) Cheers Steve
  18. Hi Ken, You'll be able to find out what work your Audi has had done at the main dealer by giving them a call :) Audi Jeep the records of all work carried out on their vehicles. Also I believe the cambelt should have a date on it but don't quote me on that. I know it's the expensive option but if it were me I'd be doing a cambelt and water pump change as well as a full service just to be on the safe side :) plus doing a full service will.pribabky give you a good indication of when it was last serviced by the condition of the oil, air filter and oil filter. These engines are tough. My a6 has the sister engine (2.5tdi) which has coved 328,200 miles and the engine and gearbox are the original and have never been rebuilt. Hope IV helped :) Cheers Steve
  19. Welcome to the forum Ken :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Cheers Steve
  20. No worries :) Let's hope your info proves useful to other members :) Cheers Steve
  21. Hi Alan, a remap.is a very good idea! But I would say if you are planning to fit aftermarket induction kits or sports exhausts then I would say to fit those first before the remap as it could help release slightly more power than just the remap on its own ;) Also if you are changing the wheels you can't go wrong g with.either grey or black as they both go well with lava red :) Hope IV helped :) Cheers Steve
  22. Your welcome glad we could help :)
