  2. Lovely colour :) bet your really pleased with it :)
  3. Your welcome, glad I could help :) As I say the wiring should be there for one to be wired in. Shouldn't cost too much.to be honest. Dash cams are a very useful and we have a whole topic on them in.the general section :) Cheers Steve
  4. Hi Dave The rear socket should be between the rear air vents in front of the middle passenger seat. The one on the boot should be on the driverside boot panel. Bizarrely not all a3 came with the extra sockets as I think it depends on the model and wether your car has the luggage pack installed. But i believe the wiring should be there for them and they can easily be fitted :) Hope IV helped Cheers Steve
  5. Hi Barry don't worry we all have to learn somewhere :) it's good that you are showing a keen interest in the servicing of your car :) I find it odd your Audi computer told you it had to go back to the dealer after 2k miles. With the long life service which most VAG cars are on now the service schedule is: Minor, major, minor etc Minor = oil and oil filter change Major = oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter etc change Brake fluid and aircon service recommended every 2 years As you've said correctly long life is 20k or 2 years but if it were me I'd want it checked yearly for piece of mind. When ever your car goes in it should have an inspection anyway which Volkswagen and Audi call a health check. You should get a video as part of the health check showing any potential issues with your car. I can't really comment on Audi's service plans as IV not really had any experience with them, sorry. Hope IV helped :) Cheers Steve
  6. Audi recommend Castrol edge professional long life 3 5w 30 Here is the link on the Audi website: https://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/servicing-maintenance-mot/audi-oil.html Also Gareth's advice is very sensible :) Cheers Steve
  7. sounds good Paul! :) iv cleaned the house and now chilling watching TV with a spitfire ale or 2 or maybe 3 lol ;)

  11. I wouldn't be too worried to be honest. Most VAG cars now use long life oil in which case it's every 20k miles or once a year which ever comes first :) Cheers Steve
  12. Welcome to the forum Jamie :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Love your beetle! You deffo can't beat a bit of air-cooled fun :) great colour too! Cheers Steve
  13. Hi Luan, IV not had any experience myself with lowered a3 suspension but IV found a couple of videos on YouTube that might be useful :) Cheers Steve

  15. Hi Bradley welcome to the forum :) Here is a couple of videos I found on YouTube which I think might help you :) Cheers Steve
  16. I'd say you do need to.potentially look at getting it changed but it depends on how many miles you do a month. For example in my case I'd do 12,000 miles in a 6 month period. Also when your shopping around for quotes it might be worth seeing what deals Audi have on as they often have offers for cambelt and water pump changes. They will even do a free health check too. Cheers Steve
  17. Hi Jim welcome to the forum :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Great car by the way and great colour :) oh and I do love that v8 grumble! ;) Cheers Steve
  18. Hi there, all cambelts are mileage and time dependent. Usually they need changing from around 5-7 years or 80k which ever comes first. And the water pump should be changed at the same time. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Hope IV helped Cheers Steve
  19. Welcome to the forum Rob :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Your right in saying the delivery times can range massively and from other members on here it seems they often arrive late. Sorry to say. But to be fair it all depends on what extras you ordered. For example you'll wait longer if you ordered a sunroof. Hope IV helped :) Cheers Steve
  20. Welcome to the forum Bry :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Great looking Audi by the way and great list of mods :) Cheers Steve
  21. Welcome to the forum Tom, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) oh and there is no such thing as a stupid question! :) With regard to your ad blue tank it's just the same as fulling up your car with fuel except you don't use a pump. Ie you can't over fill it :) also it is far cheaper doing it yourself rather than getting Audi to do. I'm sure other places like hAlford's or Parker's would do it for you a lot cheaper :) With regard to the start stop system there is no way of turning it off permanently I'm afraid due to emissions rules and regs I believe. I can't really help with question 3 I'm afraid as IV not really had an experience with having internet in a car, sorry. With regard to a remap your car would respond well and it would improve bhp And torque and could potentially improve your mpg as the engine is running with less restrictions :) any reputable tuner should tailer the map to your car as each car is different due to age, mileage and the way it has been driven and serviced. Obviously make sure the car is in good health before you have a remap as any issue could cause unnecessary wear or damage. Oh and don't forget to tell your insurance company it's been remapped Hope IV helped :) Cheers Steve
  22. Your welcome :)
  23. IV never heard of the Audi system to be hacked. I know the Ford system is terrible and is easy to hack hence why lots of fiesta and focus st's get nicked! It can't hurt putting g it on to deter a thief however due to most modern cars have good security the thieves try and do car key burglaries to Nick the keys!
  24. Welcome to the forum Nayan and sorry to hear your having issues :/ You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Cheers Steve
