  1. Think it's a case of lifting off the leather and regluing it. Not heard of any other Cass of this though
  2. Service history is key. Make sure there's proof of gearbox quattro system and engine services. Check for any smoke out the exhaust. Black could indicate a blocked dpf. It's dpf and egr which are the expensive bills. Make sure gearbox changes are smooth regardless of manual or auto as clutches/dmf are expensive bills. I believe they like to eat suspension arms so look out for any knocking noises. Make sure all electrical items work as head units or AC compressors can be expensive bills.
  3. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  4. You'd need the module from the new gearbox and have it all coded.
  5. Yea it could be, the wires in the door look can break over time unfortunately
  6. Does the car regularly do short journeys? As that could be causing issues with the dpf. I appreciate in this case it's the cam sensor though.
  7. I guess the second hand one could be faulty? As you say it should just be plug a d play.
  8. As cliff has suggested I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Otherwise we're guessing. But could be issue with maf sensor, lambda sensor etc.
  9. Have you traced it to see where it goes?
  10. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 looks a lovely car.
  11. This should go back to main dealer for diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. In the handbook it should tell.yiu how to do a system reset on it. Might be worth trying that also.
  12. Engine code should be in the inside cover of the service book. I know it is on my older A6
  13. I wonder if it's a problem with the dpf.
  14. What about any tyres from hankook?
  15. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.
  16. Quite a few on eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355110793527?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Qn30XPa8QES&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=IE07kO4STZy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY VW Tiguan or Skoda models are the same.
  17. I appreciate this is for an A6 c8 but I think the process is the same: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-c8-platform-discussion-229/disabling-auto-dimming-mirror-feature-3007601/
  18. I know it affects q5 models too. Is it worth you speaking to Audi directly?
  19. As it's a 2.5tdi it could be a leaking egr. These have been known to leak oil into the coolant system.
  20. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Glad you got the problem sorted. I'd recommend you try eBay for the mirror.
  21. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the turbo, maf, gearbox module etc.
