  1. It will have to be a lot of money to tempt me lol. From what I heard for this scrappage scheme it hasn't been confirmed if the cars get scrapped or if they are sold on!
  2. I think we had about 12 cars. We had 3 people join us on the day with a 1982 Audi 80 and 1991 Audi 80 ;)
  3. So it was Saharan dust on my car! i was wondering why the dust from the dirt road at Audis in the park hadn't washed off despite the rain lol wow Paul! You're good at being organised! Mine won't even get cleaned until the the week before at the earliest! Theres no point for me to do it early due to the miles I do. Sorry you'll have to start again, but at least it'll be extra clean! ;) and in terms of your Audi not being special, I agree with Brad. They are special to their owners and anyone seeing the cars at any show will appreciate that! As brad said it's all about the memories you've had and I can tell you that's what givenit the sentimental value ;) cheers steve
  4. Glad we could help :)
  5. That's awesome! You can see our stand more than once! For those that don't know, our stand is on the left hand side of the dirt road with the red banner. Our cars are parked at an angle ;) cheers steve
  6. Hey Piotr, would imagine the Le Mans is rarer than a normal a6 S Line as I bet it was a lot more expensive. On some of the Audi A6 Facebook pages I follow, members in America have rung Audi to found out how many of their car were produced of a particular colour/interior spec and model. I might be worth to see if you can do the same :) cheers steve
  7. Hey Paul, they are small as the rover metro was a small car and the fact the engine isn't in the middle, makes the boot and rear of the car smaller. Not as wide as well!
  8. As the title says, I thought I'd share info on a kit car called the Banham x99 and x21 which looks like a mk1 Audi TT! However the Banham x99 and x21 were based on the Audi TT concept car and as such were released prior to the genuine Audi TT. As you would imagine the VAG group were not best pleased that their designs had been copied however the kit was offered for a few years. The Banham x99 and x21 used Rover Metro running gear including the chassis. The build required the builder to remove the Rover Metro body from the chassis and bulkhead. The fibreglass body was then bonded to the to the chassis and bulkhead to give it strength. Heres further info on Banham from Wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banham_Conversions and check out the images to see the similarities. Cheers steve
  9. Now that's good news! :) gkad we could help :)
  10. I did read about this. I believe Audi have joined forces with Mercedes and BMW to offer this scheme. However I believe it's only available in Germany

    2019 Audi A8

I can't see the 2019 model changing much from its release in such a short time if you see what I mean?
  12. Welcome to the forum Matt :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) on looking at any a5 check to see if it has full Audi service history because if it has you can ring Audi to see what work it has had done recently. As trevor said most of the diesels will be affected by the emissions scandal and if it were me I wouldn't buy one that has had the update done. If the update has been done recently on a car for sale then you have to wonder if this is the reason why it is for sale if that makes sense? Also check to make sure the auto box changes gears smoothly as repairs can be expensive. Along with ''tis make sure that all electronic components work too as some of them can be expensive to replace. Mine thing it may be worth doing with any potential car is ask the seller if they would be happy for you to have an independent inspection carried out. If the owner is reluctant or refuses then you have to wonder what they or the car has to hide! Companies such as the AA and RAC offer this service. Also any a5 with Quattro check to see when it was last looked at. In connection with this check the condition of the tyres as the Quattro system is very sensitive and can be damaged by uneven tyre wear. Hope iv helped :) cheers steve
  13. I have to agree with Dan, it probably is repairable but for the cost of repairing it you probably can get a good 2nd hand wheel. I got a spare wheel for my a6 for £10! Iv also moved this topic to the a8 section to make it easier for members to find. Cheers steve
  14. Was great to meet you too Abtar! :) and your more than welcome to display your rs4 at any of our up and coming events! :)
  15. Shame to hear your changing to BMW but I can understand your reasons/concerns but just became of BMW engines. They are smoother but more tempretmental the high the mileage gets. Cheers steve
  16. These things do take time! ;)
  17. I have to agree with Trevor on this one. But it also could be an issue with the drivers door lock mechanism? Cheers steve
  18. Thanks :) glad they're feeling better :) thought it would just be a 24 hour bug. There's been abit of it going about lately. Iv been lucky though!

  24. Welcome to the forum Jim :) there are a lot of horror stories as I'm sure you've read on here. But to be honest if you've had the emissions update done 8 weeks ago then I would say you'll be fine :) usually the issues occur up to a weeek or two after the fix. Cheers steve
  25. Good app there Piotr :)
