  1. Oh no! How come Brad? The old a4 is nice :)
  2. Your welcome Joe :)
  3. I know! It's a big problem now. Car security is that good thrives are having to break into houses to take vehicles. Unless it's a keyless Ford and then anyone can steal it! Ford still haven't got a grip on decent security.
  4. Hey Joe I know the Bose system on offer for Audis of my cars era had a subwoofer. So I would imagine the system would be similar. In my experience Audi like to keep things well hidden. Have you checked any side compartments or behind the rear seat? Cheers steve
  5. To be honest Rob from the surrounding area it seemed to me the driver took the hairpin turn too tight and rolled the car and then it burst into flames. There was fire damaged earth in the ditch and fire damaged remains. But I agree a sad end to an a4 :/
  6. As title says I found this torched, wrecked and well scavenged a4 today! Clearly it's been this way for some time! Cheers steve
  7. I know! Some of the ads fly in the face of being cheeky!
  8. Your most welcome, glad I could help :) keep us posted on what you decide to order :) cheers steve
  9. Welcome to the forum John :) you're right in saying it's confusing! the S Line spec gets the sport suspension fitted as standard which is a 15mm lowered suspension over the normal suspension. However you are correct in saying you can delete this suspension and have the dynamic (normal) suspension at no extra charge. This suspension is softer. On the S Line you also have the option of the "s line" suspension which lowers the car by 25mm but is a £325 extra. On the sport model, standard suspension is fitted. This is what Audi call dynamic but Sport suspension can be fitted free of charge which lowers the car by 15mm. So basically there are 3 suspension options: dynamic (normal) standard on sport model and a no cost option on s line model. sport - 15mm lower over dynamic suspension (no cost option on sport or S Line models) s Line - 25mm lower over dynamic suspension. £325 option on s line model. One other thing to take into account is that S Line spec has 18" wheels which will make the ride harder whereas the sport model will have 17" wheels as standard. Obviously on the S Line spec you'll get a plusher interior over the sport model. Hope iv helped and not made it more complicated. cheers steve
  10. Lol. I do like funny or interesting stickers! ;)
  11. Welcome to the forum David :) nice looking a4 you have there :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) i know that some members have bought discs off eBay that have worked. But I can't say iv ever tried them as iv never had an Audi with sat nav. Cheers steve
  12. Welcome to the forum Kelly :) sorry to hear of your accident. My dad had a similar incident in his 20-3 a3 on a motorway. Again it wrote the a3 off and just like you the airbags didn't deploy. In my dads case the car hit the barrier head on then spun round. Audis are built well but one thing I would ask the insurance company is whether their assessment is based on a visual check or if they have dismantled the car. Again in a real life example I had an accident in a 2008 Suzuki swift and the insurance company told me it was written off. I didn't buy it and asked them whether they had dismantled the car. Needless to say they hadn't dismantled it and it transpired it wasn't even a write off! They discover this after they had dismantled it! Due to the palarva I got compensation from the insurance company due to the way I had been treated and for them taking so long to fix the car! Hope iv helped a little. And hope the situation is resolved quickly. Cheers steve
  13. Bump anyone at all got any? :) I'm struggling to find good ones on eBay/gumtree 😐
  14. Now that is a good question. I'm going to speak to my dad today as my brother has raced at rockingham. From my memory the carpark is big but I'm just trying to remember if there are barriers or a kiosk on entry. If there is then it's a no go but I'm really struggling to find anywhere to park prior to the show :/
  15. Trevor had an idea, we could meet down the road at rockingham race circuit! :)

  22. Welcome to the forum Gerry youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I'm unable to help though as iv not had any experience with the 1.0tfsi engine in the a3 but iv experienced the smal engines tfsi engines in the a1. For town driving it's perfect as it can be nippy at low speeds. However if you are doing a lot of motorway driving you may found the engine is slightly noisey as it's here where the engine has to work hard. Also the S tronic box is nice and is one of the better auto gearboxes out there. Here's the link to the what car review. You may have seen it already but thought I'd share: https://www.whatcar.com/news/2016-audi-a3-10-tfsi-sportback-review/ Hope iv helped a little :) cheers steve
