  1. Hey Paul iv not heard of this cider but il deffo have to give it a try! ;) I'm assuming it comes in different flavours? Cheers steve
  2. The dsg gearbox in my opinion is fantastic and is easily the best auto on the market in my opinion :) if you are looking at an Audi with dsg make sure the gearbox has been serviced correctly - at the right time/mileage and that the correct oil has been used. I say this as the dsg gearbox can be expensive to fix. Also on a test drive make sure the gears change smoothly both in manual and auto modes -e.g no juddering, jerking or hesitation when gears are changing. Cheers :) steve
  3. Welcome to the forum Liam :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) my first question would be how do you find th car? Heers steve
  4. Couldn't agree more!
  5. Don't worry Joe it's fine :) thank you for posting the events! :)
  6. I love the stance on your a4. Im assuming you read my show review, I did mention your a4! ;)
  7. Exactly! It's just a money making racket! Well I won't be bought so easily! And I won't be going electric any time soon!
  8. Thanks for letting us know about this Joe :) looks a good show! Shame I'm busy otherwise we could have had a club display of our cars! Keep us posted on other events your club is doing as I'm sure it's something we could partake in :) iv moved this to the events section too btw :) thanks again joe :)
  9. Looks great Piotr:) top work! :)
  10. Thanks Trevor! I can't stress enough how great it was :) theres always next year Trevor :) would be well worth you coming even though it is a very long distance from you!
  11. Exactly! It's all a con for us all to buy petrol cars. Then when the politicians get bored they'll tell us we all need to have electric! Its all a money making scam. I tell you now I won't be getting rid of my a6 at all!
  12. Exactly! Your a4 will look mint when it's finished! But to be fair dan she looks great now! :)
  13. Your welcome :) what ever you do don't leave it. Keep badgering them! If it were me I'd ask Audi what substances would damage the chrome. And then see how many of them damage paintwork too. If they all damage paintwork as well as chrome then we have to assume that there conclusion is based on circumstantial evidence. Cheers steve
  14. As title says I'm after a pair of genuine a6 c5 roof bars. Anyone got any for sale? Cheers steve
  15. That's true but I think you'd be waiting 4 weeks unfortunately :/ theyre certainly not easy to find!
  16. Your most welcome :) that's what w're here for on this forum :) cheers steve
  17. Hello Stuart sorry to here about this. To be honest I believe as your car is under warranty Audi will have to prove that damage was caused by an inappropriate product being used on the vehicle. I believe your Audi should have a 10 anti perforation/corrosion warranty but unsure how this works with the chrome. The warranty lasts regardless of owner but I believe is void if a body panel such as a wing is replaced due to an accident and non Audi parts are used. It's a shame that Audi started using plastic trim instead of metal. I say this as my old a6 has the old style metal which was chromed but now they use plastic. My trim has never deteriorated in the 15 years our family has owned it. As Gareth has said your doing the right thing only using buckets of water and suds. Hope iv helped cheers steve
  18. Your most welcome Kel :) we all try and help each other out on her as we all have a common interest of all this Audi :) I'd deffo look at ratings :) but to be honest I don't know the exact disc you need or if you need any form of compatibility as iv never owned an Audi with a satnav (yet!) by the way, have a look at any of our up and coming events. Your more than welcome to display your a4 with us :) cheers steve
  19. Iv had a look on the web but iv had no luck either. If it were me I'd buy one from the US on eBay. Iv bought loads from the US, Canada, Australia, china and even Russia and have never had any issues. Admittedly these all weren't car parts. Sorry I couldn't find any in the UK cheers steve
  20. Welcome to the forum Kelly :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) audi do charge you a fortune but info know that Dan (golf mk2 man) bought a disc from eBay for £20 and it worked just fine :) just look at the sellers feedback for similar items. Cheers steve :)
  21. Your welcome :) glad I could help :) also it might be worth you asking any potential seller if he is happy for you to get an independent inspection carried out. Companies since as the AA and RAC offer this service. It will give you peace of mind plus if the seller refuses or is reluctant than you have to wonder what they or the car has to hide! Your best bet is not to rush, as rushing into a purchase could mean your buying trouble! Cheers steve
  22. Hi Paul your mate is correct. You have to tell your insurance company and it could affect your premium. However if you don't tell them you won't be covered if you do have a crash. The 3.0tdi does benefit from a remap as it makes the torque smoother. Each remap should be tailored to your car as it will differ to other 3.0tdi out there due to age, mileage and the way it's been driven. The remap will also increase your bhp and potentially/slightly improve your fuel economy as the engine is less restricted. The down side is that if the car is not in top shape and any parts of wearing out then the remap will accelerate this wearing process. By the way Audi Tuner magazine ran an article on modifing the a6 3.0tdi in their previous or current issue. Might be worth you getting a copy :) hope iv helped cheers steve
  23. Ah that's true. I think another name for them is number plate deletion panels?
  24. On the 16th July saw the return of the VAG Tuner Live show at Donington Park and clubs from around the country were in attendance. Prior to arriving at the show Dan and I met up at Donington Services for breakfast and coffee which was a good way to talk about our plan of action for the day. Dan and I turned up at 8am to prepare the club stand and then, as well as everyone else gave our cars a final clean and polish before the general public arrived at 9am. This showed the care and attention people made to their vehicles to make them look spotless and I have to say the fit and finish on most of these cars was stunning. Their owners had clearly a good eye for attention to detail and you should be able to see this in the pictures. Our club display was a short distance away from the VIBE sound system stand. This drew attention as there were a wide variety of vehicles showing off the Vibe products, however not all of these vehicles were VAG cars! On top of this at one point on the Vibe stand there were a number of people doing to Cha Cha slide which was funny to watch! The public were slow to arrive which meant from 9:00-10:00 the show was quiet but I believe this was down to the poor weather reports. After 10am the show really picked up and despite our club display being small both our cars did attract attention. This was partly down to the cars as Dans a4 drew attention due to being lowered on coilovers and nicely stanced with Range Rover alloys and matching 27” bolts, where as my a6 drew attention from curious attendees regarding the rear facing seats in the boot. But also the stand drew attention thanks to the club banner and our matching T-shirts. There were plenty of other Audi clubs there too and all the members I spoke to from these clubs were friendly and happy to talk about their cars and discuss the modifications they had made. Besides the clubs, there were plenty of trade stands and tuning companies offering everything from pressed number plates, dent removal and even carbon cleaning. Some companies such as KW Suspension were willing to demonstrate their products by offering free laps around the track in the passenger seat of their demo car. The show also catered for children too by offering free fairground rides such as Dodgems. Attendees were also able to access the REVO VIP lounge which had TVs and sofas for you to chill out on as well as having some of the best show cars to look at. This was useful to get out of brief rain spots that we had but thankfully the weather held off for most of the day. By 3pm the show had died down and exhibitors including ourselves started to pack up and we said our goodbyes and left shortly after. Before we left Dan and I had a debrief on how the show had gone and we definitely agree that despite the low turnout for our club that we should still have a display at VAG Tuner Live next year. We both agree that the show was fantastic and not one to be missed, I know it’s certainly one of the best shows I’ve attended and I will be going next year. Thanks for reading Cheers Steve
  25. your welcome :) You'll see your name on the list under audis in the park attendee list in the regional meets section. Cheers Steve
