  1. Hi Matt,

Usually water in.the boot often can be linked back to a number of things.

    1. Light seals have failed letting water in.

    2. Boot seal has failed a d is letting water in.

    3. Sunroof (if fitted) channels for drainage are blocked.

Obviously the water then builds up in the wheel well.

Unsure on any other causes to be honest. Unless your car has been involved in a rear end collision and has been incorrectly repaired.

    Please keep.us posted :)

    Sorry I can't help more.

    Cheers :)

Apologies for any confusion/offence, I used the wrong terminology, I meant a thread not a separate forum.

It been a few years since I've used forums, the response I received for both my queries was very helpful.

One of the first job i wanted to do is to tide up rusty brake callipers and hub. I've spend hours cleaning them up with wire brush. then i have sanded them down with 80 and 400 grit paper. gave them a good wash with degreaser and a paint prep wipes. The key is to mask them well so there is less mess after painting. 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of red and 3 coats of clear lacquer.

few months after i have changed discs as they failed MOT for Pagid

    Thanks Steve

Ye I can tell they are by reading other posts :)

I have tried to find out how many are left by ringing audi customer services but they couldn't help me, they said because it was specifically order they dont keep records of how many they sell apparently (the guy I spoke to wasn't very helpful at all.

There is a charge of £2000 for the color on the original bill of sale.

I would suspect only a handful have probably been made for the UK. I suspect you'll find more of them in Europe. I'd try how many left website :)

That's what I thought! It's certainly an expensive option!

  6. Welcome to the forum Scott :)

You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

Have you had a look at how many left?

In failing that I suspect this colour may have be specified from an exclusive list If that makes sense. This basically means someone may have paid £2k to have that paint colour!

You could also try and ask Audi. I know in the US people can find out exactly how many cars were made in that colour.

Beautiful car by the way :) and it's a great colour! :)

    Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I had read similar.

How often will this need to be done? Once a week?

Erm all depends on your driving style and your commute. Once a week is the average and I'd say that's about right for you :)

Many thanks. We really like it.

Any advice regarding DPF care? My commute is 15 miles each way, with about 10 miles on dual carriageway's at 60-70 traffic permitting.

Give it a reasonable run in the duel carriageway in.3rd or 4th gear at 70 and that'll keep the dpf clear :) around 10-20 mins should do it :)

The car will.tell.yku when the dog is getting clogged up anyway.

    Cheers

  9. Less than a week to go for the rolling road day peeps. Is anyone else interested in going?

You'll get to see what true power your Audi makes!

There are 7 people definitely confirmed but would be be nice have more members from here!

Just let me know if you're interested :)

    Will be a good day!

    Cheers

    Steve :)

  10. Yep Piotr is right dpfs were brought in 2007 to meet the, then new emissions rules. However there are new rules in.which are even stricter. Hence the adblue.

Basically a dpf reduces the amount of particulates an engine produces whereas adblue is designed to reduces the amount of nitrates the car produces.

    Hope I've helped :)

    Cheers

  11. Exactly! Get it how you want it :) and having g your dad as a mechanic helps! ;)
