  4. Thanks for your reply Piotr :) i don't believe the picture is scaled down. It's interesting that they might be TT wheels. Cheers steve

  6. Nice one Trevor! Thank you! :D
  7. Hi Tim, it sounds like the sphere needs replacing. My dad had a similar issue on his merc e class. The sphere probably has a hole in it and is leaking. Uou probably could change it yourself but I'm unsure if the suspension needs recalibratimg afterwards. Cheers steve
  8. Hmm that is true. Iv not heard anything though.
  9. Iv seen this a6 for sale on eBay with unusual alloys. Does anyone know what wheels they are? Im assuming they're genuine? I really like them but to be fair I'm weird!
  10. Il need to change my discs and pads soon. Does anyone know if s6 brakes fit the standard Audi A6? I'm assuming they aren't as big as the rs6's brakes. And can they be fitted behind the standard 16" completion alloys? And finally do I need to change the callipers? Cheers steve
  11. Hey Darren, I'm unsure to be honest. Have you had the car plugged into diagnostic equipment? Cheers steve
  12. Yep, ideally we need one more Audi for the stand. To be fair we still have a couple of weeks yet :)
  13. Your welcome :) Hmm, has the issue started after the brake pads were replaced? I am wondering whether there is a procedure for unwinding or temporarily disconnecting the parking brake whilst brake pads or discs are replaced. And I'm thinking the correct procedure has not been followed hence the issue. I know on some vag cars with auto handbrakes the back of the car has to be jacked up evenly so in order to get the handbrake to work properly after brakes have been changed and that the correct tools have to be used to unwind the auto handbrake back out of the way whilst changing the brakes. I hope what iv said makes sense?! Cheers steve

  15. Sorry to hear the gearbox has failed Iwan :/ Have you looked for any second hand gearboxes? In terms whether it's worth repairing I would say it depends on the mileage and condition. If it's low mileage and a minter with full service history then I'd say it's worth it. It also depends on what the car means to you. For example in my a6 I'd be happy to have another engine or gearbox put in it as it has great sentimental value. Sorry if iv told you how to suck eggs! Cheers steve
  16. Your most welcome Dayan :) I couldn't agree more! You have a good compromise and like you I'd keep the 18" wheels as they look great on the car :) I think the se wheels are either 16 or 17" but not sure exactly to be honest.
  17. Glad your tickets came Dan :) on one of my previous posts on this topic I did put a list of things you should have received in your pack :) cheers steve
  18. Hey Dom, the video hasn't worked for me but the questions I have have are; is your drive on a slope or is it flat? Also has the a6 battery gone flat lately? Also have you ad the a6 plugged into any diagnostic equipment? If not I would recommend that you have this done so you can find the exact fault. Sometimes if there is an issue with the parking brake there can be other issues with the car too. Sorry if iv scared you :/ I'd be unsure on how much it would cost to fix without knowing the exact faults. Cheers steve
  19. Welcome to the forum Miles :) sorry to hear your having issues with your q7. They are lovely cars to drive and be in! I do hope the dealer can sort it for you quickly and with little fuss! Min assuming it opens and closes smoothly despite the creaking noise? I know it's not the same but on my old Ford escort which has a tilt and slide sunroof, I find WD40 works a treat when the sunroof gets stiff. I spray it on the runners and other moving parts and it solves any issues. The escort is my 2nd car btw lol there should be a section in the owners manual about sunroof maintenance. Cheers steve
  20. Welcome to the forum Cameron:) i hope your enjoying your A1 :) I agree with Gareth, as long as the garage is vat registered and uses genuine parts then your warranty will be fine :) when I worked at vw a minor service was £169. Thatvquote from Audi is outrageous! Cheers steve
  21. Insurance is a nightmare! I change every time! Unfortunately there's no perks for staying loyal with the same company. I normally go with a multi car policy as I have 2 cars. But I think next year I'm going to try and get Classic insurance on my old Ford escort to see if it's cheaper.
  22. Your welcome :) lol iv been away and got the carpark to clean it! Naughty I know!
  23. Welcome to the forum Dayan :) hope your excited to get your new Audi! :) you made the right spec choice in my opinion :) the s line spec is far better then the se spec. In terms of the suspension the se suspension will Deffo give you comfort (my dad had a 2013 a3 company car se spec) the s line suspension is lower and as such gives a firmer ride which I experienced whilst working at a car supermarket. The ride is also partly determined by the wheel and tyre combination. So obviously the bigger the wheels/lower profile tyres the harder the ride will be. The se wheels are a smaller diameter compared to the s line wheels. If you prefer comfort over than sportiness then you've probs made the right decision on suspension :) hope iv helped cheers steve
  24. Sounds good Piotr :) hope your having a good break! :)
