Welcome to the forum Jonny :) sorry to hear your predicament. I'm assuming you have the 2.0tdi? If so, my dad has the 2.0tdi Vw Passat (66 plate) and he is getting into the high 40s low 50s with mpg but he has the car computer set to the eco mode. he was getting those figures pretty much straight away. To put your mpg into comparison my 2002 a6 2.5tdi is getting in the mid 30s for mpg. I would deffo get Audi to have a look and plug the car into a diagnostic machine cheers Steve

That's fine :) we have 3 shows coming up: Sun 16th July VAG Tuner @ Donington park race track, Leicestershire Sun 13th august Audis in the park @ Deenes park, Corby, Northamptonshire sat 16th September Audi Driver International show @ castle Combe race track in Wiltshire. Let us know if you can make any of them. And we'll get you added to the list of display cars! :)

I think Toyota are caught up in that aren't they? As well as some of the German manufactures. I don't think the VAG group are affected however :)

Nice to see you've got some good/subtle plans :) don't know whether you've seen the info on the Audis in the park event which is happening on Sunday 13th august at Deenes park in Corby, Northamptonshire. Just wondering if you'd be interested in displaying your a6 at the event? We have 3 members so far but need 12 for the display. Cheers Steve

Hello Derek welcome to the forum :) Inwould imagine (but don't quote me) that a tracker would have to be fitted by a professional so in order to be valid for the insurance company. Also with regard to reverse cameras, many companies offer them such as kenwood and pioneer. I think it will also depend on what size screen you want and where it will fit on the dash. It also depends on how much you want to spend. I mean for example you can get a rear view mirror monitor from Halfords for £60. Hope that helps cheers Steve

No worries mate :) glad I could help in some way :)
-
Your best bet would be to speak to power flow as they've done previous work on your car :) like I say part of the sound comes from the baffles in the exhaust and they can be adapted/adjusted to your taste :)

Welcome to the forum Peter :) you'll find the guys and gels on here a friendly and will help where they can :) don't worry you won't be any bother :) cheers Steve

Hi Michael, you can't go wrong with a straight through stainless system. With some companies such as power flow you can choose the sound of the exhaust to a degree as it is down to the baffles they use in the exhaust backbox. To stay on the right side of the law and to prevent your insurance from being nil and void I would keep your cat on. It would only give you an extra 5bhp if you took it out. Plus I would suspect if you removed the cat you would have a light come on the dash. So you would probs have to have it slightly remapped. Hope that helps :) cheers Steve
-
It will also go on the condition of the vehicle. I.e. A poorly serviced car will not be as good as one that's never missed a service. The remap will have more effect with other mods such as straight through stainless exhausts, upgraded manifolds, induction kit and upgraded turbo for example. Did you have it on a rolling road before and after remap? Cheers Steve

Welcome to the forum :) you got any other mods on it? Thats not bad mileage btw
