  1. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 A8 d3 the best one in my opinion 🙂
  2. Bumper definitely not aligned right. Have you done a hpi check? Also buying from an auction is always a risk.
  3. Definitely get the battery checked
  4. How old is the battery? A failing battery can throw up all sorts of warnings and electrical gremlins as it fails to provide enough power to all systems.
  5. Seen on Facebook and thought I'd share. Info credited to SCR distribution: ARE CAR MANUFACTURERS RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS ? A few weeks ago we helped a customer with an Audi S3 that sounded dreadful and zero solutions existed so we set about upgrading 8 speakers in the B&O equipped car, in became apparent that nothing was badged B&O like in earlier year Audi models I've worked on, all the speakers were made in Vietnam by Foster ( who knew ! ) upgrade was successful and all went well but it's been annoying myself and my customer so he asked Audi and I asked Bang & Olufsen in Denmark why the equipment didn't have their name on it....... they replied within 12 hours to my surprise. They haven't had anything to do with Audi sound systems since 2017 when the car division was sold to a Chinese company. Audi aren't being very forthcoming yet but my customer is taking it further. I did the same with Meridian who also confirmed that they make zero equipment for the Landrover Defender and only provide the sound set up. I then see a customer with a 2023 Ford Ranger with B&O complaining his speakers were also nothing to do with B&O ! If you pay the 2 to 5k for a premium upgrade surely it should be made by the people who have branded it. https://www.scrdistribution.co.uk/

  6. I'd say the module is playing up. Is the gear selector eliminated. By why chance has it had wet footwell carpets at all?
  7. I'd recommend you ring around main dealers and independent garages for the best price
  8. Think it's a case of lifting off the leather and regluing it. Not heard of any other Cass of this though
  9. Service history is key. Make sure there's proof of gearbox quattro system and engine services. Check for any smoke out the exhaust. Black could indicate a blocked dpf. It's dpf and egr which are the expensive bills. Make sure gearbox changes are smooth regardless of manual or auto as clutches/dmf are expensive bills. I believe they like to eat suspension arms so look out for any knocking noises. Make sure all electrical items work as head units or AC compressors can be expensive bills.
  10. Glad you got sorted thanks for the update
  11. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  12. You'd need the module from the new gearbox and have it all coded.
  13. Yea it could be, the wires in the door look can break over time unfortunately
  14. Does the car regularly do short journeys? As that could be causing issues with the dpf. I appreciate in this case it's the cam sensor though.
  15. I guess the second hand one could be faulty? As you say it should just be plug a d play.
  16. As cliff has suggested I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Otherwise we're guessing. But could be issue with maf sensor, lambda sensor etc.
  17. Have you traced it to see where it goes?
  18. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 looks a lovely car.
  19. This should go back to main dealer for diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. In the handbook it should tell.yiu how to do a system reset on it. Might be worth trying that also.
  20. Engine code should be in the inside cover of the service book. I know it is on my older A6
  21. I wonder if it's a problem with the dpf.
  22. What about any tyres from hankook?
  23. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  24. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.
