  1. Hi Den, you should find that your mpg should improve as the remap will improve the efficiency of the engine. Your best bet is speaking to a company who specialises in remaps. As the Tuner should tailor the map to the car. Each car is different due to age, mileage and driving style and as such the map needs tailoring as such. Also make sure that your car is well maintained as any issues could be accelerated due to the potential extra stress pit on the components from increasing the power. Cheers steve
  2. Deffo check! ;) yep! We've got vag Tuner Live this Sunday 16th and then we're attending Audis in the park in Northants in august :) check out the regional events section for more info :) cheers steve
  3. Welcome to the forum Dan :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) it should say in your service history when your Ac was last serviced. It should be every two years. From the sounds of it yours is probably due for a service. Cheers steve :)
  4. Welcome to the forum Hasan :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) cheers steve
  5. I believe the cambelt change should be every 135,000 miles or 5 years. Which ever comes first. Id check the history as it should have already been done. If it's not I'd be asking for money off! ;)
  6. Your a5 looks lovely :) as I say if the satnav works why bother to update it? In terms of the cambelt it also depends on the age of the a5 as well as the mileage. Normally which ever comes first. When was it registered? And what engine has it got? Cheers steve
  7. Your welcome. Glad I could help :)
  8. Welcome to the forum Jody! :) bet your looking forward to collecting your a5! :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) you would be correct a new disc is around £300 from Audi. Unsure about the discs on eBay though. The question I would ask, if the satnav works how crucial is it that you have the most up to date sat nav? If your not bothered and the sat bav works then do you need to update it? Cheers steve
  9. I would say the older version would not fit as your model of a3 convertible is bigger and has a bigger boot than the previous model. This will obviously affect the lines of the roof etc. If you see what I mean?
  10. Right, i now have two extra tickets for vag Tuner Live for anyone who still wants to go! Please note this is not my ticket! I'm still coming lol
  11. Me being stupid Matthew. You can find out the mileage of a car via the dvla mot check ;) id just forgotten you could do that!
  12. Not a problem Beth :) i did look on eBay for you but I didn't find anything either :/ personally you don't see them that often. Il keep an eye out though :)
  13. That sounds good! :) iv been working today but going out tonight with family to celebrate my sisters birthday (she's back this weekend from Belgium). So plenty of beer tonight! ;) I'm then driving to Essex tomorrow to see family :)
  14. I don't see why not :) just add it to the attendee list page :)
  15. Thanks Gareth :) its definitely in good condition! :) I'm wondering the same thing Matthew!
  16. For those who are attending don't forget to order your Audi Owners club t shirt on the other topic under the regional club meets section!! The deadline is fast approaching!! Oh and did I mention they are FREE to those attending vag Tuner Live and have confirmed their attendance :)
  17. Welcome to the forum Steve! :) I have to say your country has great scenery :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) unfortunately I'm unable to help though. Sorry. When you get a chance feel free to post a pic of your a6 :) cheers steve
  18. Welcome to the forum :) Good choice on next car by the way. The a8 is a lovely car! i suspect it will be standard on the a8L w12 or s8 but unsure on the other models. To be honest I'm surprised it isn't standard on the a8 anyway. Also if the acc does go wrong it can be very expensive to fix. The camera can also get dislodged by debris and at which point the car will need a 4 wheel alignment and camera recalibration which is a big job due to the complexity of the camera. Cheers steve
  19. Thanks for your reply Dan :) i guess il have to start to do some measuring! :) and yea I knew I would need to change the pads just didn't know if they'd fit in the original calipers. The a6 wheels are always shod in Bridgestones as that's what my dad has always used and recommended. He tried others but found the bridgestones to be the best on the a6. Like you, I see it pointless buying rubbish tyres. They wear out quicker plus the fact they effect handling and braking. Most people forget The tyres are the only thing keeping you on the road. Thanks again :)
  20. Welcome to the forum Beth :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) how much are they selling for at the main dealers? Oh and iv moved this topic to the a3 section :) cheers steve
  21. Your a3 is lovely! You can tell it's well cared for! :) what mileage is on her? It looks like a low mileage car. and more unusual being a 3 door in my opinion:)
  22. Welcome to the forum Robert :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) the thing is one is a SUV and one is an estate car so I think it depends on what you intend to use it for. 2 things with regard to the Porsche is that everything from the purchase price through to servicing will be more. Also the Macan looks like a baby cayenne. I feel the public will have the same opinion on the macan As they do with the boxter. Poor mans 911 and poor mans cayenne. Plus you'd be hated less for driving an Audi than a Porsche. Please note these aren't my opinions and I'm not trying to be biased towards the Audi. As i bet the Porsche will Deffo be more luxurious and better built than the Audi hence the price. Obviously being an SUV it'll be more practical depending on where you live. Countryside perfect but inner city probably not and in which case the Audi will probs be more ideal :) another option could be an Audi sq5. I would suspect this is on the same floor pan as the Porsche. It could be the best of both worlds for you? Sorry if iv been controversial. cheers steve
  23. Any thoughts peeps?
  24. Welcome to the forum Keith :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch and will help you where they can :) unfortunately I can't be of much help as I have little experience of the brand new Audis. Sorry. But if it were me I'd go for the bigger engine. Il probably cause controversy on here now but the age old aging goes "there's no replacement for displacement" Cheers steve
