  1. I'm assuming it's heat resistant?
  2. Lol lets face it. The French cars are wacky! Oh just to mention. Fitting grooved or drilled discs could potentially increase your brake pad wear.
  3. Glad I could help :) btw iv moved this thread out of the recalls section to the a6 c6 section. Now that was back in the day! cars have got a lot more technical and complicated now! Cheers steve
  4. Looking good Dave :) nice to see a colour other than red :) cheers steve
  5. What if You get grooved or drilled discs of the same size as the standard discs? Cheers steve
  6. I don't think you'd have to change anything apart from the discs. As long as they are the same size as your cuttent ones :) if your going for discs are you changing to fast road pads too? Cheers steve
  7. Hi Yaz, i believe you can damage the engine by not having the idle pulley. Could you not call out a mobile mechanic to try and sort it? Cheers steve
  8. Your welcome :) unfortunately I'm not sure where you get the repair kits from but I assume any Audi specialists should be able o help :) cheers steve
  9. Welcome to the forum james :) Could this be to do with the swirl flaps? If so a repair kit will cost around £80 cheers steve
  10. Nice one John! Thanks for letting me know :) cheers steve

  15. Deffo looks a popular upgrade but I can see why the steering wheels on the vans are naff in comparison to the cars! Sorry for getting you to doubt yourself! Your full of useful info Dan! :)
  16. I stand corrected :) nice one Dan, it's good to know a3 steering wheels fit and I thought you'd have to have them coded :) cheers steve
  17. Welcome to the forum Marty :) youll find the members on here are a friendly bunch and will help you where they can. Unfortunately I can't be much help I'm afraid. Chers steve
  18. Welcome to the forum Kieran :) youll find the members on here are a friendly bunch and will help you where they can :) what engine is in your a6? I'm assuming it's the 3.0tdi? I believe the intake manifold swirl flap issue is a common one. And I believe you can get a repair kit which costs approx £80. This issue is mentioned in the current issue of Audi Tuner magazine. As they are have a whole buyers guide on the a6 c6 3.0tdi. Might be worth you buying it :) in terms of worst case scenario I'm unsure to be honest. But if it were me I'd get it fixed and not run the risk. Having the car go into limp mode whilst on holiday would be a nightmare! Just make sure you have break down cover. Sorry if I'm telling you how to suck eggs! Cheers steve
  19. Nicely done :)
  20. Your most welcome:)
  21. As I say, I know it can be done as you see it in the Audi Tuner mags all the time :) could you not look at other steering wheels which were designed for your model i.e. S6 or rs6? Or the accessory wheels on offer at the time? This woukd probs be the easiest option to be honest :) cheers steve
  22. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and approachable club :) sorry you didn't get a response from other clubs. But to be fair it can be tricky getting thenaudi community to communicate and engage with one another. However I feel on here we all are reading off the same page and are respectful and helpful towards one another :) I'm glad you've had a positive experience on here even if the outcome has prevented you from getting an a5. Btw did you see the a5 on eBay at the minute with the awesome body kit? It's a white 2.0tdi with high miles and has an s5 badge on the back? It did look lovely :) cheers steve
  23. I would say 19" wheels would be maximum on the a4 without modifying the arches. You just need to be careful of the width of the wheel. As the wheel can catch on the arches or suspension components. You may need spacers to make different wheels fit properly. The spacers go between the hub and the wheel. Also make sure the wheel has the same stud pattern as yours (not just 5 but the width of the studs and space between each stud are the same. If that makes sense. Oh and make sure the centre hole is the same size. I think you'd be better with 18" wheels as this should cause you less of a headache for fitting as Audi would have fitted 18" wheels as standard in some cases. 19" was for the rs4, s4, s6, rs6 I believe. Hope iv helped cheers Steve :)
  24. I would say easily anything a4 or a6 (obviously) related. Possible a3 but not sure. One thing to bare in mind is that it might not be a case of the steering wheel not fitting but more a case of the airbag connections being different and not compatible if that makes sense. Cheers steve
