  1. That's cool :) if you can stretch to it then get the a6 Le Mans edition as it's the best model. You'll get all the toys :) good luck with the sale :) if you want any advice on buying a a6 c6 then ask away! The members on here are a friendly bunch and will help you where they can :) cheers steve
  2. Welcome to the forum Aidan, sorry to hear your selling your TT. Are you changing it for another Audi? Cheers steve
  3. Welcome to the forum Craig :) as Dan as pointed out, getting your car plugged into a diagnostic machine should be your first port of call. Cheers steve
  4. Your most welcome :) il give you a shout once iv got any info on this to see where it can be placed :) it is a very important topic which isn't going to go away for the VAG group any time soon. I think we could have another year to 18months of cars being called for the emissions update. As iv worked in a Volkswagen service department I cannot stress enough that the ea189 is not compulsory and I advise members NOT to have it done. I know I wouldn't have it done if my car was affected! I feel The risks are far too great. I saw plenty of Volkswagens requiring new egr/egr coolers and the worst case I saw was a car that would not start afterwards! Oh and for any modified cars it's a no no as the computer is remapped but the mods can also affect the recall being carried out properly. Again your very welcome :) I feel your advice and guidance should be recognised and thanked :) your depth of knowledge of all things Audi is great to have! :) i couldnt agree more! Members on here are very helpful and I feel we a building a very friendly and helpful community of Audi owners :) cheers steve
  5. Your welcome Gareth, glad I could be of some help :) unfortunately, I'm unable to move the recalls section but Il contact admin to see if we can get it moved. As you do raise a very good point and the ea189 is a hot topic right now. Leave t with me and il see what I can do :) Thanks again for all your advice and support Gareth :) cheers steve
  6. Welcome to the forum John :) sorry to hear your having issues with your a4. The members on here are a friendly bunch and will help you where they can. Cheers steve
  7. So let's play a game. Members need to post a pic of an Audi from a film or tv series and everyone else needs to guess what film/tv series it's from. Il start with an easy one....
  8. Yep they are genuine Audi. I wonder if they are clipping into the rail correctly? cheers steve
  9. How strange. Are the roof bars genuine Audi? Cheers steve
  10. Hmm, I'm unsure to be honest. Hopefully some of the more experienced members will be able to advise. Without sounding stupid what issue was highlighted in the first video? Cheers steve
  11. Hi Dave, i would say the £85 sounds reasonable. As always just check the sellers feedback before committing to anything. Sorry if that sounds like I'm telling you how to suck eggs! If you went to Audi they would want to replace the motor for a hell of a lot more money! So this could be worth a shot. Cheers steve
  12. Welcome to the forum Phil :) sorry to hear your having issues. The simplest thing could be the glowplugs. When was the car last serviced? In failing that it could be the leads or injectors. Hopefully some of the more experienced members will be able to advise further. cheers steve
  13. Hello John, welcome to the forum :) sorry to hear your having issues. I think you might have to do trial and error on this one. The other thing it could be is the abs wiring instead of the sensors. Hopefully one of them more experienced members will be able to help you further. Cheers steve
  14. Hey Gareth, Sorry if you've not been replied to by any admin or moderator. I missed your suggestion previously and would have acted on it sooner if I had known. Then again iv not been a moderator long so may have been suggested before I was a moderator which would explain why iv missed it. Anyway, it cannot be denied the importance of the information provided by members regarding the ea189 emissions recall and as such I have featured and pinned the topic. You should now find it at the top of the recalls section. I also just want to add a big thank you for members providing the information on this topic and on other topics as the club can only function with friendly and helpful members :) Also a personal thank you to you to Gareth as I know your always providing very good answers to some of the more complicated questions on here. It is greatly appreciated :) Cheers Steve

  20. Welcome to the forum Moin, sorry to hear your having issues with your Audi. Youll find the members on here are a friendly bunch and will help you where they can :) i cant help with all problems I'm afraid but problem 3, the whistle at high revs could be the turbo. There could be a gasket loose or pipes leaking. Worst case scenario if it is turbo related is a new turbo maybe required. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers steve
  21. Nice one! Im guessing it'll be fitted before vag Tuner Live ;)
  22. Tickets purchased! :) have you bought yours?
  23. Your most welcome :) I think to do the jobs listed you could be looking £500 baring in mind the cambelt/water pump change is the most costly part due to the labour involved. naturally any classic with an mot will be worth more than one without. Cheers steve
  24. Welcome to the forum Stephen :) youll find the members on here are a friendly bunch and will help you where they can :) if it were me I'd take it to a body shop with the handle on the car so that they can blend it in to the car. If that makes sense. Cheers steve
  25. Welcome to the forum Dawn :) WOW! That's not something you see every day!! In unrestored condition I believe it would be worth 2-5k but restored it could be worth up to 25k! If it were me I'd keep it, but im sentimental like that! My grandad had an Audi 100 too back in the 70s. In terms of work required I would thats a small amount for a car of that age! Clearly your father looked after it :) would love to see it at some shows :) cheers steve
