Have you looked at a company like this: https://www.ecutesting.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjww7KmBhAyEiwA5-PUSjPLDtWR1JQHKDIpopQFCikjB_yzW75buyrzF1vqZpWxAWpz40HoJBoCedwQAvD_BwE
  3. I know on older audis you could just unclip it out. I have to admit the info online is vague.
  4. Definitely look at autologics or Audi retrofits as members have used them for retrofits and been happy with the results
  5. Looks the same. I'd definitely recommend comparing it to your current part number. You're doing the right thing Looking from Europe but would recommend you look at Germany instead. Or list your part request on the breaker sites.
  6. Definitely get it back to the dealer asap. Might be worth getting it to an independent bodyshop to check to see if the body is straight
  7. In that case hybrid might be better. Especially as they keep increasing the ulez

I know how that feels. There are far less specialists for older Audi's then you think. I've been in the same situation with my older A6 c5. My advice would be to find the part number on your current ECU and try and find one with the identical part number. It will still need to be coded. I'd lok on eBay, including international sellers. This is why I've had to resort to, to get parts. Alternatively speak to Audi to see the if they have any in stock.

Also I must add you'll probably be looking £1000 for a new ECU.
  10. Don't think the door card has to come off. Does it not just unclip out of the handle?

Hey Louise you've found me. My advice would be to Google ECU repairers in your area. You could always try local independent Audi specialists or auto electricans. Alternatively speak to Audi as they might still stock them new. Also bare in mind if you source a second hand unit then it'll need to be coded to the car.
  12. Sorry to hear that mate. Cost of living is ridiculous at the minute. Even more annoying that it's deliberately created by the powers that be to make us minions lives harder.
  13. How odd. Sure it could be retrofitted if it was a must have.
  14. How long are you intending to keep the car for? What kind of mileage do you do? What trim levels are both cars?
  15. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  16. Not sure if it can be retrofitted but my advice would be to speak to autologics or Audi retrofits as members have used them for retrofits and been happy with the results
  17. No probs at all. Please keep us posted on how you get on
  18. Hadn't realise you had a dipstick too. If you have a dipstick then that is the best way of doing it.
