  1. Glad you found the cause. But Why'd it happen?
  2. Have a look at YouTube buyers guides. The switch to petrol will mean you'll most likely get less mpg compared to your diesel.
  3. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. How big of trailer/caravan are you towing?
  4. Yep glovebox should be the same. A sticker in your boot should tell you what interior code you r got.
  5. Think £300 is fair. They're not cheap in anyway. I'm dreading changing my ccm. I'd suggest you search eBay including international sellers
  6. In the boot? Quite easily via rear light seals or top of the boot on convertible models. Have you checked the rear floor to see if they're wet? Are the door drains and scuttle panel drains clear? This link might help: https://www.wheelsjoint.com/audi-a5-makes-sloshing-water-sound-causes-and-how-to-fix-it/
  7. Is it an electric tailgate?
  8. Yep they don't. I think swaps for higher end cars are y that common in the UK. Wouldn't you be safer selling anyway?
  9. You'll need to get tracking redone. What's the width?
  10. Great information thanks for sharing. Sorry it gave you so much trouble
  11. Have you checked the spare wheel well?
  12. Definitely worth adding it for protection.
  13. I'd recommend you sell it instead via eBay or auto trader.
  14. Did this on my A6 last year. Is a good upgrade had to fit an adapter plate to mine to make it fit. My write up is in the c5 section
  15. I'd definitely recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  16. Could it be an issue with the maf sensor or cam sensor? I'd appreciate both should throw up a fault code.
  17. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the egr and car trying to regen or an issue with a sensor. Whats the engine temp like when driving?
  18. True. Not to mention mercedes with there biodegradable wiring looms in the 1990s!
  19. Some contemplation... So for those like me who want to keep our old a6 going for years to come (I admit mines not working ATM), the biggest issue I foresee for all 20+ year old cars, is how are we going to keep the electronics going, when they're no longer available? Such as ECU, gearbox modules, CCM, etc as these aren't always repairable. Not to mention the issue with coding. I wonder, in order to keep these cars on the road is by bypassing or removing them? As people with knowledgeable on complex coding is limited I'd be interested in other people's views.
  20. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  21. Might be worth looking at tyres from Toyo, pirelli
  22. I know how this feels. Struggling to get an ATM engine for my a6. Think I've found the part for yours on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265719362992?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=eSZhemAaTsq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=IE07kO4STZy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363417812984?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1ZRwnIgIRTy&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=IE07kO4STZy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  23. Sorry to hear of your situation. I'd recommend having a Google for independent Audi specialists in your area.
  24. Apologies I'd missed that you've already contacted the dealer. Funnily enough I've been discussing a similar situation regarding modern car electronics failing and not being replaceable. The manufacturers enjoy building in obsolescence. I'm wondering if the cheapest option for you is to fit an aftermarket head unit with android auto etc.
  25. Think you'll need the identical one so you don't run into issues with coding. This is the issue I've got with my old c5.
