  1. How strange. Could be the fuel pump or fuel rail?
  2. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  3. You'd be fine to run without it in my opinion. They're just for asthetics. So you'd definitely save some weight. If you want to save more weight definitely look at carbon parts or ditching other parts like rear seat, spse wheel, boot carpet etc. You could even create extra vent holes in the bumper to aid cooling and save weight. I fully get where your coming from as my brother races.
  4. Which engine and gearbox Frank? Check YouTube videos for buyers guides.
  5. Thinking it could be the oil cooler 🤔 https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/a6-2-5-tdi-oil-in-water-help.115255/ https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/336971-coolant-service-warning-in-skoda-superb-v6-25-tdi/

Hmm how interesting. Is it worth speaking to Audi to see if Audi are no longer supporting it?
  7. Hmm how odd. Any rough running? Could it be a crank sensor, cam sensor, maf sensor or lambda sensor

It might just be a case the head unit needs a software update.
  9. Definitely worth watching buyers guides on YouTube. As I say service history is key. Dpf and egr issues are known. Check when Cambelt and water pump were lat changed. That's what I thought with the radio, it could be interesting to get it sorted.
  10. The supplying dealer is lying to you in my opinion. I'd seriously be looking at getting your money back from finance company if you can.
  11. Have you done a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up?
  12. I'd look for a second hand one. New one will be at least £300
  13. I'd recommend changing the bulbs and maybe getting a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could also get an auto electrican to che k for shorts in the wiring etc.
  14. Now you've asked the age old question. Part of it will come down to how much sentiment you have with it. I've got a A6 c5 which isn't a classic yet. Going to do an engine rebuild on mine after it blew up at 344k. My dad bought it new so it's sentimental to me. So I'll be getting it all sorted. But looking at bills of 7k all in once you consider engine rebuild, turbo, clutch and duel mass flywheel etc.
  15. I'd recommend you speak to darkside developments about this.
  16. So after languishing at the garage since Feb, my A6 is finally home. I might attempt removing the turbo to get it ent off etc to try and learn the mechanics of the car. I figure.ive got nothing to loose.
  17. Nice one, glad you got sorted. A right up would be great when ever possible 🙂
  18. Service history is key. Japan car will definitely be well taken care of due to Japanese very strict mot rules. Obviously make sure sat nav etc all works in English. Make sure auto gearbox and quattro system services are documented. Out of curiosity, what is making you consider imported Audi's instead of those originally supplied to the UK?
  19. It's only a quarter of the Amazon rainforest lol 🤣
  20. Please let us know how you get on
  21. Look a T YouTube videos for buyers advice. Check for timing chain rattle on start up. Timing chain needs doing around 100k. What's the service history on it? Has gearbox and quattro system been serviced? Do all electrical items work? Have a look under A7 section as certain models can eat Dunlop tyres.
  22. What's the fault code fault? Could it be a glowplug, injector, cank sensor or injector module issue. Could it also be a fuel pump issue?
  23. Water mdy have got in via the pollen filter housing or battery tray if drain holes are blocked. Also consider leaking window or sunroof seals.
  24. I'd be very careful with any car cover as even breathable ones can cause moisture build up in the cabin causing mould. Or blistering paint etc. Could you not put up a fabric canopy above the car?
  25. Could be head gasket. Any smoke from exhaust? Or heater matrix. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
