  1. Fyi another engine swap idea is the Isuzu 2.5 diesel.... They're more bomb proof that Toyota engines!
  2. Could be the module
  3. I know on the A6 c5 induction kits etc are pointless and the stock airbox is actually best. You.might.be better going for an.upgraded panel filter from k&n ect. As heat soak will be your biggest issue with induction kits.
  4. You could search eBay including eBay Europe. I get how you feel as I'm trying to source an engine for my a6.
  5. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. The knocking in my case on my old a6 is the crankshaft. Hopefully yours won't be that bad.
  6. I guess it's more age than mileage failure. Second hand might be the better option
  7. That's not good! Glad it didn't catch you out
  8. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  9. The problem with deleting it, is that it could be an MOT fail. As emissions controls must work if fitted from factory.
  10. Glad you got it built back up. How odd. Could the exhaust have moved? Engine mounts ok?
  11. Think it's built in and has to be updated by Audi.
  12. Was a computer diagnosis done and any fault codes flag up?
  13. I'm also in Leicester. The local Audi independent specialist is Chapman's in wigston but I've never used them. I use an independent garage called AC motors in Syston
  14. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  15. This is a well known issue:
  16. Euro car parts? eBay?
  17. Hi Lenox, No events currently set up. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  18. You're welcome. The wiring loom is probably for the airbag.
  19. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  20. You'll need the parts department who will order the sticker.
  21. If there was a bang the gearbox could have failed. You could get a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.
  22. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  23. You need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Most likely ab issue with the level sensor.
  24. I'd recommend you speak to autologics or Audi retrofits as members have used them for retrofits and been happy with the results. I doubt the wiring will be there so you'll need the seat, wiring harness and then it coded to the car.
