  1. Well the cheapest 2014 one on eBay is £4k. So at least that'll give you some idea. It will also depend on spec. You could push £3k in the hope to get £2-2.5k at a guess
  2. What's the engine and gearbox? I ask as that often will decide what it's worth too.
  3. Please keep us posted on how you get on. Feel free to list it on here under the fir sale section (this is free to do)
  4. I think this needs Audi or an Audi specialist to rectify the key issue in my opinion. I think you'd have to sell it spares or repairs non runner.
  5. Do t get me started. I need to replace the engine in mine but all this complexity has prevented me from doing it so far.
  6. If it's anything like my 2002 A6 the imobiliser system has 3 components the instrument cluster, injection pump and ECU. Yours could be the same. To save yourself heartache I'd recommend you send your current cluster off to be repaired. Lok an eBay as there's companies that offer this service. You'll be looking at around £300+
  7. You're welcome. Are you certain it's the ECU? I ask as the instrument cluster is part of the imobiliser system and failing clusters is not unheard of
  8. Obd11, vcds, vagcom or Ross tech are all good.
  9. Is it behind the lower dash on the driver's side or kick panels?
  10. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 looks lovely 👍
  11. Id suspect a faulty switch or bad earth.
  12. I can't say my A6 has this (2.5tdi). Are you sure there's no additional electrical equipment fitted? Or previously fitted? Do you know the cars history? It must have had additional bits added if it was a working vehicle. Signs of this would be holes drilled into bodywork or interior. Or unusual blanking covers that look out of place. Alternatively follow the wire to see where it goes. If it goes towards the engine bay could it be for electric fan?

How did you get on viewing the Q3?
  14. Please keep us posted on how you get on
  15. Further to Gareth's sound advice, if it's not the battery it could be a sensor or the rack itself.
  16. You're welcome 🙂
  17. I have to say the same, thank you so much Paul for sharing your knowledge and review. It's very rare we get this from new members. Keith I'm pleased the information has been useful, please keep us posted on how you get on searching for an A8. Cheers Steve

  19. Let us know how the test drive goes. You might find the saloon slightly different. Not sure about that to be honest. What about an S4?
  20. Steve Q replied to a post in a topic in Audi A3 (8P) Forum
Ah, more unlikely it being that then. Unless not correctly coded to the car. Id guess a sensor. Not sure what diagnostic tool that's been used but it might need a more sophisticated one from Audi or an Audi independent specialist. Also a bit more unusual would be an issue with the instrument cluster.
  21. I think I'd be worth you test driving the s3 saloon to see how that feels compared to your old s3. What if you look at an sq3?
  22. Steve Q replied to a post in a topic in Audi A3 (8P) Forum
Have you had the battery checked? A failing battery can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins.
  23. Unless I've missed it, what colour wing are you looking for? Also I dont think A3 wings fit the A4 unfortunately.
  24. Steve Q replied to Anton8's topic in Audi Recalls
That is a worry. Hopefully they rectify this quickly
  25. Think the top of the dash gets covered in leather. Or it does in the US anyway.
