  1. Why can't the dealer get the electronic print out? Make sure there's proof of cambelt and water pump change and gearbox oil service. I got an electronic print out for my ford Kuga recently and it had 30k miles missed off it! Even though it's only been serviced at midnight dealer from new. Luckily my Kuga still has a service book and I've got the invoices. The problem is now with GDPR it's harder to see the proof of work done
  2. Definitely could be the sensor. This would be picked up on a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.
  3. you can get the egr and dpf napped out if you have a remap. Make sure you use one that's got a rolling road so it's done properly. You'll be looking around £500. But bare in mind the government are looking at ways to test cars to see if they have emissions cheating software installed. Alternatively replace the egr or egr cooler if that's the problem.
  4. At a guess It could be an injection issue or issue with an injection pump. The later needs coding to the car if you source a replacement.
  5. I'd be speaking to Audi customer services asap. This should definitely be a warranty job. Makes me wonder if the car has got damaged in transit on the way to the dealer. You could also try contacting the motoring ombudsman but this is a long process (6 months plus). Also if you bought it on finance then it might be worth speaking to the finance company, stating your case that the car is not fit for purpose and want a refund/end early etc. The finance company then should do a battle with Audi. Also research your consumer law. In the UK if there's a fault with a product (including cars) with the first 6 months of purchase then in the eyes of the law the defect was there at the time of sale and it's the responsibility of the seller to prove otherwise. After 6 months it's the other way around.
  6. Could be. Could be an issue with the turbo. And it's leaking oil into the turbo. It can cause engine to run away. Look ar it on YouTube
  7. Have you tried the spare key? Are the symptoms the same with that.
  8. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up or get an auto electrician to take a look.
  9. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be more than one issue. Could be a glow plug issue, injector, cam position sensor etc.
  10. Yea they should fit. But double check the offset etc.
  11. Have you had a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the driver's door module or the signal receiver.
  12. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  13. Is it outside or inside of the vehicle?
  14. Sounds good if it's a 1 owner car with full history. But the key question you have to ask yourself is why is he selling it? Che k service history for proof of gearbox oil changes and make sure all electrical items work. Check service history got any evidence of work on the dpf or egr. Check out buyers guides on YouTube.

  16. Have you checked the pollen filter housing? When was the AC system last regasssed? Is there any water in the wheel well? Is there condensation on the inside of the vehicle when you get into it in the morning?

Thanks Steve, I've learnt something new. When I had mine changed I only had 2 working out of the 6. As you know the service interval it makes me wonder if it's been missed, and if so what else has been missed.
  18. Glad you did that 🙂

Glad it runs fine 🙂 the symptoms of failing glow plugs is that the car will struggle to start in cold mornings.

Could well be the glow plugs but I do find it odd in some ways they've all gone simultaneously.
  21. They're lovely cars. It'll be either 130 or 163bp. Check service history on when gearbox was last serviced as this is the Achilles heal in the mechanicals. Looks to be se spec. But if you contact Audi they should be able to provide you a build sheet.

  23. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the imobiliser
