  1. Ah right. It might be worth getting it assessed by an auto electrican
  2. If you've bought it on finance you could speak to the finance company, explain your case and see if you can get it classed not fit for purpose
  3. It's great to have you 🙂 were a friendly bunch, but ours is one of the quieter forums to be honest
  4. Yea it has had a detrimental effect on forums. Even though finding historical content is easier on forums as it's often picked up in search engines. This isn't the same for Facebook I find. Just like Facebook I find forums have a lot of members who ask a question, get answer then never get back.
  5. Love that, not heard the Italian tune term for a long time! Yea as I say I'd consider issue with dpf or even egr.
  6. They wouldn't do a diagnostic check as part of the health check. What is the tyre condition?
  7. Is it running any better now?
  8. No evidence as such other than what I've been reading on forums and Facebook etc. All petrol and diesel car prices are going to increase in value as manufacturers start winding down production of petrol and diesel cars. Jaguar a case in point. They're reducing their new car lineup for next year for 3 electric vehicles only.
  9. Speaking from someone who has a high mileage Audi, my engine nhas just let go at 344k. I'm second owner and car is 21 years old. Bought by my dad new. Thorough servicing is key. Mine was over serviced. It's mainly electrical gremlins that start affecting older Audi's in my opinion.
  10. If it's timing belt then I'd say it'll be due soon. Service history is key. Make sure all electrical items work and if it has air suspension make sure that's working as it should.
  11. Keep us posted on how you get on. Sounds like car isn't fit for purpose
  12. I'd be doubtful on the 25 week lead time in my opinion. Most lead times are going over their estimates regardless of spec and model.
  13. Definitely could be a windscreen? It's also near the roof gutters too...
  14. Tyres are the first thing to look at. Brand, tread depth etc. Is the quattro system working as it should?
  15. Has it always been graded out? Or just happened?
  16. Has it been bumped? If it's snapped a bodyshop night be able to plastic weld a bracket?.
  17. Steve and Gareth, pub trivia I believe seatbelt warning won't sound when cars in reverse as it's not a legal requirement to wear a seatbelt when reversing 🤔
  18. Glad you got sorted. If you're needing c5 parts there's a good parts dealer in Peterborough on Facebook. The guys name is julius and he's a top bloke. Had numerous c5 bits from him.
  19. You could try a head unit reset. But I'd suspect there's something stuck or the sensor to indicate there's something stuck has failed. Am I right in thinking the cd player is in the glovebox? If so it might just be easier to source a second hand unit off eBay
