That makes a lot of sense, the boy I bought my A6 from said he had given it an interior Le Mans upgrade. Basically other than not having the 3.0 mine just has the 18" wheels.
-
Could have been worse news though. The on the shelf flea stuff is not really that strong. Buy some spray to treat the dogs favourite sleeping places too, from the shelf stuff is fine for that though!! Out of interest, what are the extra features of the Le Mans over the S-line?

Pro's..... owning one Con's..... not.

Tell me about it, we seem to have suffered from the holiday commitment curse. We put deposit down on holiday, 2 weeks later girlfriends car got an electrical fault that even Mitshubishi couldn't sort. So we traded that in on a 3yr old Mazda 3 (lovely car btw but I couldn't get her to get an Audi because she doesn't like them!! Long story) savings gone!! Then this! In fareness the vets bill is only £580 which is much less than I thought it would be but I am waiting for the bill to fix the blokes car too. Never rains but it pours hey! Hope u get to bottom of the rotti licking.

Currently laid on the floor with a fire on to keep a Raven the Megan destroying Dal. She came home from the vets tonight amazingly. She is a mess like but has some amount of will for life. She even smiled for me when I came home. Might get a bit of wallpapering done over next few days though...... I know, living the dream!?!

To leave Kelly's thread alone thought I would put an update on here about Raven, the Megan destroying dog. Some how she seems to be pulling round. Her swellings are rapidly reducing and she is up and walking only 24hrs after the accident. It quite genuinely is a miracle. Joe Cott, unfortunately mate she is not insured and the accident happened 1 mile away from the house. I wasn't actually there but arrived home as my girlfriend arrived home with the dogs thanks to an extremely kind chap who gave them a lift home. If it wasn't for him she would have died for sure. She has cuts all over the place, too many to count actually. No broken bones but a bad head trauma but she is responsive and remembers us so fingers crossed all good. Last night she had a 1 in 10 chance of surviving, now 7 in 10. Time will tell. While I am obviously dreading the bill I don't really care, it's just money after all and I would have spent it on my A6 or the T5 on something that boosts my ego rather than actually needing anything. Thank you for the kind words guys and girls, appreciated.

Bass speakers in A3?
Dan3222 replied to Joe Cott's topic in Audi Audio / DashCams / Electronics / Security
The Bose system in my Mazda 6 has a sub that fits into the spare wheel. My A6 has the excellent Bose system too but the Mazdas is far better. My guess (without searching for one) is that the Audi doesn't have one. The Bose speakers themselves use air chambers to create the 'deep' sound you here. I wonder if they use better ones in the Audi therefore not needing the sub. But, as I say the Mazdas sound is superb. I can't even turn it above 12 because it starts to get too loud. (Goes up to 29 I think!!). lol, I pleased you live far away from me then. I have a photo somewhere of the speakers taken from an Audi, if I can find it I will post it up for you. The speakers look quite unusual to say the least. -

Last night my pup Dalmatian was hit at 50mph plus and also dragged under the car for several meters. I don't unfortunately have her insured and they are about to operate for the second time today!! It is amazing she is still alive tbh. My point of this post is that the front of the fellas car looks almost as bad as yours......Genuinely, you wouldn't believe it!! I have to pay for that as well. Guess I am working for nothing the next few weeks 😬- 7 replies

Hi Kelly, I believe air bags are deployed more as a result of a very rapid reduction of speed and it looks like your car kept going while mowing down obstacles in its way therefore there is no trigger for the air bag deployment. There is a chance btw your face would have been more of a mess (assuming it's not after the accident) if the air bag deployed, a pal of mine had his nose broken plus two immense black eyes.! I have posted the pic of my last T5 in which I hit a tree dead central in the front of the van, however as this was part of a spin again there was not a very rapid deceleration plus by the time I hit the tree it was estimated I was only doing 20mph. I was very upset as I lost £3k I had just spent on the van. Don't accept the first payout offer!! Do your homework and search the net for similar cars with mileage and spec to be able to quote when the time is right to your insurance company. I hope the van driver is sorry!! At the end of the day it's just bent metal, nobody seriously hurt but it is still rubbish to go through. Best of luck, Dan- 7 replies

My car does this, I have to press the key fob once to unlock drivers door and twice quite quickly to make it unlock the rest of the doors. Yours could be the same.
-
I am still putting 50p bet on the wheel bearing.
-
Some cars have hill assist etc like that Passat. Some cars don't have that amount of electronics like my T5 and earlier cars and the brake can go on. But everyday a school day, I didn't know that there was an emergency braking system employed by holding down the handbrake button. 👍

I think NOx will be related to EGR function or lack of. You did right clearing that massive list of codes, I bet that they were caused by the ignition being on when many electrical plugs were disconnected at some stage. it will be worth removing and cleaning the EGR. Go from there.
-
On All vehicles the glow plug light will only be seen for 1-5 seconds as a solid light on putting key into position 2, before starting. However, on VAG vehicles (and some others) to see it flashing is letting you know that there is a fault picked up by one of the many sensors. This could well have been indicating exhaust issues that you then had. If you see this happen again it will be worth getting the fault codes read to help diagnose any issues. Most common one is EGR valve.

It does look awesome for sure but it's just such a shame the suspension obviously was broken whilst driving through the mining pit!
-
And now I see how to do it!!
-
Didn't know you could do that?
-
Oh dear, I think that was the emoji for whistling yes? I didn't blow you a kiss honest!!
-
I am not jealous..... at all........ honestly😗
-
Yeah but it still wouldn't beat a Hilux!! Even with 4 circles on the grille!!
-
There is a chance that the base spec model won't have them, but any model SE upwards should have them I am sure.
-
Definately more of a controlled stop. At worst the back wheels would lock up and you would do the longest skid ever recorded 😃
-
Don't ever try it!! Not a good idea because it takes to long to come back off!! In reality, unless the rear brakes were brand new and the handbrake cables fully adjusted would there be any chance the rears would lock up at speed. My kids once caught the button on my T5 and as it has an after market electric parking brake there is no beep beep warning noise. The van just became laboured to drive until I realised what was wrong, though I am sure 6months were taken from my life with the whole experience😬
