  1. So did i haha but audi manager was so good as they didnt have any cars for me to take away i wont have to pay anything for the repair. In all honesty i knew there could be a potential problem with the plugs . They are original since the car was new (11 years) and after reading many forums there is a change they can snap. Any indy garage quoted me less for them but said if they break i would have to cover the cost ... so all in all audi dealer was a good choice :)
  2. So many nice cars !!! Hope to see you guys at the next events :)
  3. An update from audi. They said they cannot remove the broken glowplug themselves and had to call a "specialist" for monday ...
  4. It was £121 for 2 glowplugs and £60 for surge investigation
  5. Took my car to audi guildford with a rev surge when engine breaking . They have no idea why . The master tech who was assigned to the car said the car is perfect . Engine and Gearbox is perfect. They contacted audi tech uk to advise lol. But whilst the car was there they said that glowplug 4 and 5 needs changing so i said ok. I went to pick up the car and was greated by 2 audi techs and manager. They snapped glowplug 4 in half ... and they need a day more to fix it. They also gave me 50% discount. Im glad it happened at audi as any independent would probably want me to pay for extracting the broken glowplug...
  6. Coilovers and honeycombe grill. Paint front and back audi badges black, you can also get black sline badges for the fenders . It would look mean !!! :) I would not change anything else . A3 has already fantastic shape
  7. Sounds like you need coilovers :)
  8. Im in :)
  9. Hi :) i never had a b6 but i have 2006 a6 3.0tdi quattro and there are similarities The 2005 3.0tdi ( engine code BMK) can suffer from cam chain failure. Usualy the top tensioners that are failing first causing a distinctive metalic rattle for 1-2 seconds on cold and warm start. To fix you would be looking around £2k , and if the cam chain fails then your only option to replace engine . This was fixed in late 2006 ASB 3.0tdi Tiptronic gearbox ( with i belive this car has ) is mostly bullet proof but can suffer torque conventer issues. Look for rev surges on engine breaking and gear slip on high revs A vag com (or other) scan for faults is very good idea. Front and back subframe can go rusty quickly Other then that the car will have its usual weakspots. Have a look on youtube, there are plenty of reviews
  10. Hi Adam Whats the reason you want to lower it more ? You are corret by saying sline suspension is lower by 30mm from SE version
  11. Hi phil Is your trim silver or same as the car ? As far as i know the trim is painted plastic. So either needs to re sprayed or wrapped . Its held by 2 screws and it clipps off sliding to the back .
  12. Great !! Nice easy fix :)
  13. Hot and cold air from airvents is most likely this . Easy diy fix . It did fix issues on mine a6
  14. What battery did you get ? Sends us a link or a photo
  15. I think so . First we need to know what mmi have you got ? Then you need the software itself . Prosibly ebay or google. But there is no way of knowing the source of the soft. And doing it yourself there is always risk of what if something goes wrong ?
  16. Great news !!!
  17. Hi Book yourself to audi. I think there is a software update for MMI that could fix the issue
  18. Sounds like its the button . Let us know what the dealer says :)
  19. It could be. Finger crossed its nothing too expensive. Keep us posted
  20. Is it push start/stop button ? Could be faulty . A vcds scan should show if there is any faults
  21. One thing i can advise if you will decide to fo any repairs , hold off with oil change as it will be drained off as part of the repair anyways
  22. Without a proper diagnostics its imposible to advise. A gearbox specialist should be able to advise . Google about issues with audi multitronic boxed . There is lots of topics ... like this one https://www.audiworld.com/how-tos/a/audi-a4-b8-multitronic-cvt-problems-421233 Multitronic needs oil changed every 40k if not then it can be an expensive fix
  23. Tip is 6speed , multi is 7speed
  24. I dont think this would relise the breaks.
