I bet its the air mass sensor that is causing a fault . Glow plug warning is the engine limp mode ( not the actual glow plug issue ) . Get a vcds scan to show faults
Halfords can mix any paint in store . I got a 300mil spray can made of my dytona gray pearl few months ago.
Just give them the paint code wait 10 min and done. You can get either a spray or a touch up bottle
Also here is a link to the a6 c7 modules tree that will show up in vcds . Have a read

1500 for a timing change is cheap to be honest. Most indy will charhe same or more .
Its a engine out job and they will be done using audi parts. Also you will get warranty on the work and new chain,, tensioners etc. So i think its a good deal
Not doing the chain could be catastrofic to the engine and the car
A6 c6 runs audio on MOST ( fiberoptics ) with limits options
You can do one of these
- fm bluetooth trasmiter
- retrofit ami and get tune2air
- install dension 500 with our without bt depends what you want
Nice
But if you want off road you bought the wrong car haha.
You would need to change springs to se , shocks , 18" wheels , then have traction set up etc...
Is it 2.0 or 3.0 ? When buying springs you need to concidre weight limits.
Like steve said you wont feel much diffrence between 35 or 40 wall . If you have sline suspension then replacing springs to se would be the way. Also going to 18" you may lose qround clerance a bit
19" rim will fill 255 40 tire btw 🙂
Usualy its the plug going to the epb motors on the back wheels. When the fault happens pull the epb button and see if you can hear both motors applying the brakes on only one side
