Chain and tensioners is a £1500+job so i dont think so . Chain is located at the back of the engine so it needs to come out. Google or youtube chain rattle on a6 , there is a very destinctive sound if its happening . Usually starts with 2-3 seconds rattle on engine start , then it gets worse and constant
-
Normally chain is not part of the service schedule and only will be worked on if there is a problem
-
. You need to book the free health check
-
2.7 and 3.0 units have chain . BMK engine can suffer from top tensioners issues and chain rattle . This was fix in ASB engines (second part of 2006) and redesigned in facelifted version CDYA

Nice car. Dont forget to change oil in your multitronic gearbox

On a6 c6 yes . New moduls are required , i can dig out what part numbers they are if anyone is intested
-
Right .every day is a school day :) ... i never knew audi had something like this . I did some reading this is an iphone/ipod docking station not ami. There is no way to connect anything else than iphone or ipod Sorry for the wrong info before
-
This works only on facelifted models and requires coding It can be done on pre facelift but requires door modules change and coding
-
No. The 30 pin cable needs to be unplugged from the ami in the glowbox and replaced with the one in the picture
-
AMI - audi music interface. Its where your iphone/ipad cable is plugged in in the car . You can have varius cables ipad, usb, etc Its usualy in the glovebox or in/under the armrest This is the device i was refering to that plugs in to ami Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222477402506

If you have ami then you can get an usb bluetooth reciver that will conect via ligthning cable to your car . It will let you stream music
