yeah you're right there Paul, once he knew is wasn't insurance but cash on completion he said £420 which I thought was ok for the job. 10 year old silver must be difficult to match so I will be taking my 20/20 vision son in law to inspect it on completion.

There are steel bollards around Lidl car park lamp posts to stop people running into them; unfortunately the bollards are also easy to run into............. My wife came home rather upset about the paintwork on door & rear panel. Unfortunately the bodywork has been pushed in a fraction as well so adding to the cost. It's booked in on monday for 3 days at a local small bodyshop in Brierley Hill which comes highly recommended so fingers crossed.

A4 Avant B7. Water in passenger footwell??

Or, in some cars there are grommets in the bottom of the scuttle holding screws from the trim. these grommets degrade & leak water into the footwell. just another suggestion good luck with finding the cause -
Hi Kyle The makers specs never come true cos they are done in smooth controlled conditions. I have a similar engine in my A3 with auto box & get about the same as you round town if that's any help. on a long non motorway run it's about 50mpg.

that's interesting; presume you have the auto roof, Is it still not fitting with the roof down? not had any problems with the windows since getting the car 12 months back, but, it reminds me of my last car (15 years of MX5 ownership; Mk1 & Mk3). the Mk3 roof came down slightly off line once & pushed the window out of line. It's just a random thought that may or may not help. be interesting how they fix it.
