  1. Thanks niedzial1983 and Paul A6 for you're help and advice, I purchased a Carista and downloaded app signed up for 1 month free trial and £33 a year after which is nothing! and it sorted my service interval reset. Many thanks 😊
  2. Hi, thanks for reply, I have an obd11 scan/diagnostic device but it doesn't allow me to reset service interval only error codes! It's prob the device isn't advanced enough to do it! The carista devices look like they have the same issue unless anyone has already found you can do it with it? Thanks
  3. Hi everyone, Has anyone had issues resetting the service interval on an Audi q7 2007 3.0l tdi? Normally it's as easy as going though you're MMI display to the service setting and resetting that way but when I do it it just tells me how far over run I am and no way or changing it!? I have done the service myself as it is a lot cheaper but I take it, it means I will have to take it to a garage and have it plugged in to get it reset!? 😣
  4. Hi All, has anyone tackled replacing the front grill on a Q7? Was wondering how easy it was? I have just purchased a newer all black one to replace my tired grey looking one, the car is black so will look so much better all black. From what I can see I take the top panel off above the grill then u carefully slide the clips out holding it in? Some advice would be great 😊 thanks in advanced. Dan
  5. Hi, I replaced my battery 3 months ago, I didn't reprogram I just made sure I got the correct battery in the first place which if u give your reg most places can find out for u, then just make sure u connect another battery by jump leads to ur jacking points under the hood when u take the battery out so nothing looses it' memory. The battery is quite fiddly to get out not much space to manover it but it does eventually give! My Q7 3.0 tdi 2007 has been fine ever since. Hope this helps but is up to u in the end which u feel is safest bet.
  6. Just thought I would share, I managed to sort my Headlights out! After checking fuses, relays, indicator stalk, Headlights and plugging into diagnostic machine! In the end found the person before me who owned the car either played around or had an issue with the (On Board power supply unit module) made a hash job of trying to fix it! So had to buy a new module making sure it had the same serial number, replaced the 10 pin plug that they mangled trying to fix or do something they shouldn't! Then getting a family friend to plug in diagnostics machine and program the unit to know what lights and car it was in and WHEY! It works I have lights! Moral of the story is if you don't know what you are doing with cars seek professional help!
  7. Audi Q7 are a great car to drive and enjoy, running costs ur looking at, if you are a careful driver 34 mpg otherwise 25 to 30! Recomend getting it remaped if its a long term purchase getting to the 40mpg if ur careful! Tax is just under £600 a year but you have to expect that with engine / size of car and 7 seats. Insurance depends on you and if you shop around. Any thing else don't hesitate to ask 🖒 Regards Dan
  8. I hadn't thought of the earthing, will have to look it up where the nearest one is to the lights. To answer your question Gareth, when you operate the flasher the low beam flashes fine but the main beam does nothing either way? Regards Dan
  9. Hi, Hoping some one can help! the main beam on my Q7 2007 won't come on, I have tried fuses, tested the bulbs all fine so far as I can see? I have even taken the steering wheel off and steering column to replace the indicator stalk as saw on the net the relay and main power source goes through the indicator switch, which I think may be incorrect as it had no effect? Is there another relay? Has anyone had the same problem? Any help would be great full 😊
