Hello Gareth, Yes I can't see any blue smoke, I can see the White smoke for a short time only when I release the Accelerator pedal from >5000rpm My car is 2006MY Audi A3 8PA 2liter mileage 167000, oil & filter change 1 month ago, Quantum longlife III 5W-30 Engine Oil. I noticed a little bit of oil leakage on the right side of the engine, please see the attached picture, Thanks Sasi

Thanks Gareth, I tried to rev the engine to a steady 2000rpm for at least two minute.. & also at @3000 I didn't see any smoke When I blip & release.. I noticed White smoke.. While driving when I accelerate quick I can see some smoke. May be @500miles <=1 liter Will it fail the MOT? Many thanks

Hi, Last week when I changed the spark plug I noticed little bit of oil on the spark plug threads only on cylinder 3 & 4.. I suspect the piston ring worn out or damage. 1& 2 cylinder are clean. I'm thinking if I use some oil additives like Wynns Engine Stop Leak from - Halfords. will it fix the issue? Any idea or suggestions? Anybody tried using additives? Thanks in advance.

Hi.. how do you come to a conclusion that the sensor is ok?.. I had the same issue couple of months back and I replaced the sensor and done a battery reset.. and drove the car >10kph the fault is cleared and power steering calibration also sorted

Thanks for the reply. If water is getting into the engine due to gasket failure the coolant level should reduce right.. But coolant level is same.. I don't see the creamy layer in the cap now. During winter season I seen it now the weather is better I don't see the creamy layer. Can I do the water system pressure test by myself?

During winter season I noticed Creamy stuff around oil filler cap, I thought it needs engine head gasket replacement, but now it looks ok no creamy stuff I checked the coolant level is same, only the engine oil level goes down and every 2 to 3 months I have to topup. anybody had seen the similar issue in your A3 2L TFSI? also why engine oil level goes down I can't see any leak.

RL wheel speed sensor was faulty, yes I cleaned but it didn't work, so I replaced it by myself and the fault is cleared now. Thanks

Thanks Steve. I have checked the diagnostic code and found RL wheel speed sensor Faulty signal - Intermittent. Should try to remove and clean rust or dirt on it.

Hi, Yesterday when I was turning in a corner suddenly my ABS/ESP become faulty warning lamp came ON & it was stalling, it is an Automatic A3 the gears are not shifting to higher gears in time. don't know why did anybody had the similar issue anytime. I tried the battery reset but it didn't clear the fault, when I do the ignition cycle ABS lamp didn't go OFF and after that ABS & ESP lamp ON continuously and also Steering fault which is because of ABS fault. but now I can drive and the gear shift is OK. I'm planning to take it to the garage to read the diagnostic code to understand the problem. meanwhile, if anybody knows the reason why please let me know. I checked the brake fluid level & its between Min & Max. last weekend a stone get struck in the RR brake disk making squeaking noise while driving and I pushed the metal cover behind the disk and the stone came out. Hi, when I unlock my car from key fob only driver door open from outside. I'm not able to open any other doors and boot. But when I unlock the door from central lock inside then i can open.. Please let me know I'm doing something wrong or its a problem.. I recently brought Audi a3 2l tfsi auto.
