  2. Beast of the day! 😜 Brilliant.
  3. I've just arrived, bit early!
  4. My A3 has been a pain trying to get it clean this week. Every attempt to get it polished has ended up getting rained on! On the plus side it's been washed every day since Tuesday! Still not happy though! Lol
  5. Steve I don't suppose you happen to have any t-shirts with you?
  6. Steve Q, you can put me down for this once as well
  7. No probs just drop me a message if you need a lift. Hopefully not though!
  8. No that would be fine it's only 30 min drive it'll be no problem if your cars not ready :)
  9. If your cars not ready do you want picking up when I'm on my way through? It won't be a problem :)
  10. Hi All, Just been looking over all the info for meeting up next weekend including meet up locations prior to going to Beaulieu! Just though I'd colate all the info in one place and add some sudestions for timings and point out some info from the Beaulieu website. Points to note from the website: Beaulieu - Simply-Audi VEHICLE ENTRY Entry with your Audi is from 9.00am – the Brabazon Restaurant will be open for bacon rolls, cakes, teas and coffee. Please note cars cannot leave and re-enter the grounds for the Simply Rally without a further fee being paid to cover the occupants. COMING WITH FRIENDS If you wish to park up alongside your friends, you must all arrive together with individual e-tickets as we are unable to reserve adjacent spaces for later arrivals. Only 1 e-ticket is produced per order, if you are being joined by friends in separate vehicles, please ensure you make separate orders. Meet up locations and timings: Taking into account travelling times between the two meet up locations Rownhams services (West bound) or Dibden Inclosure and the potential for plenty of traffic in and around the surrounding area I think a good plan would be as follows: 1) If meeting up at Rownhams services - 07:00 for some breaky and leave for Dibden Inclosure @ 07:45. 2) Steve Q, Could you suggest a meet up time for anyone meeting you there? 3) Us guys meeting at Rownhams will likely get to Dibden Inclosure @ around 08:15. (20-30 min to do 9 miles!) 4) All of us leave together for Beaulieu @ 08:40. (only 3 miles away) Anyone any further thoughts on any of the above? For Sat Nav: Rownhams Motorway Services - SO16 8AP Dibden Inclosure - SO42 7YR Beaulieu Motor Museum - SO42 7ZN
  11. Here we go guys, Roham Services on the M27, sounds like a plan.
  12. Hi guys, tickets bought, see you all there 😃. do we have a tally on how many have confirmed as going?
  13. I won't spoil it! I guarantee you wouldn't guess though! 😂😂 Was good to see my car made pretty much bang on hp as spec'd and 34lb/ft over stock figures. Can't wait to get round to getting a stage 1 map put on it hopefully before Audi International this year 😀.
  14. Hi guys just to let you know I'm there. See you soon 😜
  15. Sorry guys running a little late this morning I'll meet you there 😀
  16. One thing I'm really keen to find out is how close to the "out the factory" output she is considering my car had the emissions update applied to the ECU (before I bought the car). I think I'm down on power a bit, or there are just pleanty of mapped 1.9TDI Seat Leon's round near me! 😭
  17. Nice one mate see you Saturday
  18. Just had the ok from the boss so I'll be there. It'll be interesting to see what she's got left as the poor girl gets thrashed! Some time this year I'll be getting her mapped most likely after a service, terra clean and a diagnostics check to make sure all is order 😀. Then I'll be interested to get her back on the dyno to see what she gains 😜.
  19. Hi guys, just got to get the sign off from her indoors but hopefully I'll be able to make it up. If you do get some other takers though don't hold a spot for me until I confirm for definite 😜
  20. Hi Steve, Stick me down for this one and I'll see you all there
  21. Shame I can't aford one :(
  22. Hi Hugo, Just out of curiosity when you checked the front pads did you take them out to inspect them? The reason I ask is that the ware indicator will come on while there is what you would think is still significant material left on the pads. The only way to tell is to take the pads out and if there worn down enough you'll see the indicator contacts in the suface of the pad. Another possibility could be that the contact is severly corroded or the wire can sometimes snap right next to the caliper. I may be wrong but it's possible your number plate warning light may actually be related to the brake ware warning! (Did they happen to occur at the same time?). I've come accross strange issues like this before! Like on both my old 2003 A3 and A4 you could have the glow plug warning light come on for a rear brake light out, figure that one out! Apparently some warning systems can be on the same electrical circuit. So if you haven't already I say it'll be worth taking out the front pads to phyically inspect them. Hope this helps.
  23. Right so I after having a look around and testing on my own A3 I get what your issue is and understand the problem (I think!), it's something I've experience myself but never thought of as an issue but will now bug me till I find a solution!!!! Please see video below and confirm if this is what you mean: So if I'm right the issue is that instead of the water running into the channel on top of the door seal the water tension pulls it onto the door rubber and then it sort of flicks into the car! I've had an idea that I'll test unless someone can get it done before me and post the results, idea is as follows: 1) Clean the paint work about the door seal with soapy water ensuring there is no residual anything on the paint work. 2) Thoroughly clean the door seal and treat with something hydrophobic like RainX. What I hope this may achieve is that the surface tension of the water will hold to the clean paintwork enough that with the door rubber being treated with a hydrophobic solution that the water drops will "wick" into the water channel on top of the seal instead of dripping round the rubber and into the car. I'll post back once I've tried it with results unless someone beats me to it. Another possibility may be to run a plain white wax candle along the top of the rubber but I'm sure there will be other wax substitutes that would be more suitable!
  24. Hi freebird, Can you please elaborate on your issue as obviously you wouldn't be driving with the door open! Do you maybe mean when the car has been sat a collection of water enters the car when you first open the door?
