I have 18s on mine. I don't believe they were standard unless it was an option on an SE, I'm unsure though. As for much of a difference, As long as you use the correct size tyre, it shouldn't have much of an effect. Obviously smaller side wall may make the ride feel a little more harsh. My car doesn't look like it's on stilts or anything 😁

Howdy all. With the winter now upon us. I feel that my headlight lamps aren't all that bright and the range isn't that great. Can anyone recommend uprated replacement lamps? I believe mine are halogen. Has anyone just made a direct swap for better ones? Xenon or what not. Thanks in advance, Seán

I'd get it scanned for the fault code to be honest. Or get yourself a small bluetooth obd scanner that you can connect to your phone. Saved me many £££s over the years. Do you drive it hard before you stop? I'm sure someone will be along to provide a better response. Hope it gets sorted soon -

right ok, thanks for the reply. I'd best try and find some of those rubber grommets then, it annoys the hell out of me I managed to remove the top of the cam cover slightly just before leaving site. The belt does look pretty good. I did notice two gears that are connected. I'm unfamiliar with Audi engines, could that be the reason why it sounds chain driven? Still pulls like a train so I'm not worried. Just curious Sean

Morning all. Just popped the bonet whilst the engine was running. I noticed one hell of a rattle from the Airbox. If I press on it. It stops. Anyone else had this? Also, is it a cambelt or cam chain? It sounds like a chain to me. I hope it is 😂 the attachment shows the sticker on the cover. Another sticker says CJCA Thanks in advance. Seán

Just an update in case anyone has the same issue, all it took to rectify, was to move the slider down and give it a firm tug, all sorted then

Thanks for the reply Steve, I was going to pretty much use brute force, unless some one has a little trick other than yours . My first car was an Escort, probably in bits now,no where near as good nick as yours

Hello folks, I tried to search for the problem I have, but cant find a result. Basically the drivers seat belt, has some how folded over on itself and jammed inside the pillar. The downside is, my car is at home and I'm currently in Cambridge until the end of the week. Has this happened to anyone before? Does anyone have an idea how I can rectify this myself? Thanks in advance, Sean
