Selling for a friend. 2001 Audi TT roadster convertible. Very tidy example. Has had at some point, a professionally fitted audi sport body kit and re-spray. Overall very tidy bodywork for its age, especially the engine bay (I personally haven't seen such a clean engine bay on a 100k+ car before), there is a bubble of rust forming on the bootlid (visible in pic) and the wheels could do with a little tlc. Just had brand new starter motor, fuel sender unit, n/s/r tyre and a years MOT. It does have 2 little annoying issues. Firstly the electric roof doesn't open automatically. This seems to be a common tt issue, as the motor runs fine. And secondly it has a noisy thrust bearing, although It drives beautifully (I took it for a test drive myself recently). Also includes roof cover and full car cover. Offers considered And viewings welcome Chichester West Sussex

Looking at doing a turbo conversion for my 1.8tfsi (160bhp) Anyone got any experience in fitting a bigger turbo? Heard a few whispers about the IS20 turbo from the mk7 gti is a straight swap but would like some clarification or other ideas before I go ahead. Also heard the MK6 gti induction kits are a perfect fit too. Is this true?

Hello, I need to buy a new (used) rear diff for my '04 1.8t BEX 190 I was given the diff code FUB by the garage and have found one with matching FUB Will any diff with FUB code be a match? I saw some comments regarding making sure that the gear ratios match but does the matching code ensure this? The used diff i am looking at came from a 2005 A6 3.2 FSI which is why i am cautious but do they just share some parts? Hope y'all can help Cheers, James

Audi A4 - 260 BHP - 1.8T - B6 - 2002 I have for sale my beloved 260 BHP Audi A4 B6 1.8T. I have spent thousands on this car and it is a great powerful vehicle. See below on the overview and spec. Overview The car has been upgraded to a very fast 260BHP with a uprated K04-15 Turbo (hybrid), FMIC , Bosh 550 Injectors and de-cat down pipe. The car has been professionally remapped at Unicorn Motor Developments and the rolling road report is attached. Upgrades 260BHP with a uprated K04-15 Turbo (hybrid), Front Mounted InterCooler Bosh 550 Injectors De-cat straight through down pipe. Performance Air Filter Professionally remapped at Unicorn Motor Developments 19" Alloy Wheels Features Front Electric Windows Air Condition Audi Chorus Sound system with 6 CD Changer (one of the speakers are not working) 19" Alloy Wheels Multispoke wheels Condition I have just changed the water pump and the timing belt was also just done at the same time, so this is brand new. The body work is in fair condition for the age of the car. There are some minor dents and scratches of course for the age of the car. The bonnet has a medium dent which can easily be repaired at a dent repair place. The engine was fully rebuilt 26,913 miles ago as the orignal turbo failed hence i decided to fully rebuild with new uprated Turbo and compenents , so this engine only really has 26,913 many miles on it. The overall mileage of the car is 189,913. The thermostat needs to be replaced for the heating. Any inspection / Passenger Test Drive welcome. Only selling as i have bought another car now. This is a great 4 door powerhouse for a cheap price. You will probably not get 260BHP and a lot of fun for this money anywhere. £2795 or nearest offer - Call Now ! Hi Everyone, Am new at this, apologies if I break any protocols! I need your help; I have a mechanical issue with my Audi A3 2009 hatchback. Issue manifested itself by having light failure warning on the car and hazard lights turning themselves on when the engine is switched off. I took it to the garage who 'cold rebooted' the vehicle by removing one of the battery terminal. This caused BCM Onboard supply unit, Part No: 8P0907063D to blow on one of the input sockets. I am currently seeking a replacement but my question is; what would have caused the motherboard to blow? I am afraid of replacing it and the same scenario happening. Any advice will be highly appreciated. Regards, Martin

Hey guys, this is my first post here so bear with me! So in a bid to get a bit more mechanical knowledge I've decided to (try to) rebuild an engine. The 1.8T found in the S3/A3 8L to be exact! So my end goal is to clean out, strip and rebuild the engine but I also want it to be improved. I was thinking of the future and I would like to fit it into an A3 Quattro to make a sort of road legal race car! So I was thinking of rebuilding the engine with forged internals, getting a better turbo and generally just making it better from the basics. Money isn't really an object as I want to do it as a project when I get chance which will usually be on weekends. Now for the bad news: My mechanical skills go about as far as servicing the car and fitting aftermarket parts such as exhausts, filters, etc. Although I know how an internal combustion engine works, I have no idea what a lot of people mean when they are on about honed boring and all that stuff. I have no clue if it improves the engine or what. So I guess overall I have three questions: Where could I start? Is there a book someone can recommend. List what tools I'll need and generally how difficult it will be. Is it worth putting it in an A3 since it will be completely rebuilt or is it worth getting an S3 to put it in? I'm not 100% sure of the differences in terms of suspension and brakes between the two! Generally I don't care about that stuff since it will all be more than likely replaced anyway as I build the car up afterwards. Is there another engine you recommend to put into the A3 instead? I was only thinking the 1.8T since it's built for the car and it would be easier for me being a beginner! Any help will be greatly appreciated and I look forward to becoming an active member of the forum and getting to know you all! Josh

Hey guys,My Audi A4 1.8T B8 has been producing some black/blueish exhaust smoke recently, there's also a strange sound between revs and when turning the engine off. I've uploaded two short videos of the issue below: Do you guys have any idea what it could be? I've heard a few different things so far. The car it's self does use a lot of oil and is close the the 1L/1000km set by Audi, could this be related? The car it's self drives fine, haven't noticed any issue with acceleration/turbo.Any help or feedback is massively appreciated!!Thanks!

1.8t A4 B6 1.8t BEX - Wanted!
eabeukes posted a topic in Audi Parts and Accessories For Sale & Wanted
Hi everyone My A4 Avant has recently started leaking on what seems to be a common problem to do with the cam belt and chain grinding through a housing at the top of the engine. My mechanical knowledge unfortunately goes to the electronic kind rather than auto so Im hoping someone has either an engine they want to sell, or can offer me a quote on souring and fitting it! Thank you A -
I recently purchased a 2003 A4 1.8T as a project. Having just completed restoration of a Porsche 944 I was looking for a good winter project and jumped on a "good" deal paying $500 for the Audi. I would not have made this move had I done proper research ahead of time, but here I am. Replacement transmissions are pretty pricey and difficult to locate. I do a lot of my own wrenching but a tranny swap is more than I want to do myself as I don't have a lift. I see my options so far as such: 1. Part out the car I have and get my money back. 2. Bite the bullet and get 3-4 grand deeper in the car risking other unknown problems. 3. Find another car with a blown engine and put my engine in it. I have located a 99 a4 Quattro with a bad head gasket that I can pick up reasonably. If I go that route how many parts from my 2003 will I be able to use on the 99? Any help would be greatly appreciated from those of you who are in the know. Thanks in advance!

Hi I have an old LHD A4 Avant 1.8T with automatic gearbox (originally German registered) which I want to register in the UK. In order to do so I need the speedo to show MPH. I think the simple solution will be to replace the instrument cluster. The part number on the existing cluster is 8D0 919 861 C. I assume this denotes a unit with a speedometer displaying KPH. Does anyone know how I can find out what the equivalent part number for a unit with a speedo displaying MPH would be? Thanks in advance
