I hope someone can help - newbie here but happy to take some digs 😉 I have a 2009 S4 B8 Avant 6 speed Manual. I'm looking to change the sports diff oil. Popped under the car couple of days ago and had a look around - looks fairly straightforward 4 bolts in all. Got in touch with TPS - TPS said the quantity for both sides is (0.9l). Ordered oils - Axle oil 1L and transfer oil 2 x 850ml (Why don't Audi just make a 1L bottle!?) Bought a gear oil pump too (Amazon). The question I have is; which oil goes on which side?? One side is embossed with an Audi Logo the other with an ATF logo. I'm guessing the Axle oil is Audi side and the transfer oil is ATF side? I've attached images to help. Any advice / pointers is greatly appreciated. Thank you all! T 👍🏽

Hi All! I've just acquired an A5 cabriolet with an ancient looking something or other under the armrest which is no use for anyone. Does anyone know of a minor mod or something I can do with this space to make it useful? I have bluetooth but an iphone so no wireless charging yet. Has anyone done anything like this? I've seen someone do something similar here but it's not quite the same and not a very innovative solution: Any pointers would be great! Thank you!

I'd like to come up with a neat and tidy solution for my MMI (3G HDD, joystick, jukebox etc) to iPhone 7 (lightning). There are three major points: It has to be able to transmit audio - currently, onboard Bluetooth will not so I can't get Spotify/iTunes or Google Maps (Audi Nav isn't up to scratch with current traffic info) I need to be able to see maps, so the phone can't just be plugged into AMI and be kept in the glovebox - separate cradle needed - Ideally around the passenger air vent area, see pic. It needs to be chargeable when mounted. Maybe the simplest solution is AMI>lightening but with some sort of extension to then go into a cradle? I looked into Qi but then that means a permanent charging case and still no mount/audio option. I currently have a Bluetooth to FM transmitter from my old car but signal is patchy, no charging option and still no mounting option. Please help, my head is spinning! I'd love to see what others have done and if there's a solution I can commandeer!

Hello, I am just about to purchase an A3 S-line (2009 Audi A3 4dr HB AT DSG 2.0T Quattro Premium). It has 243,000km on the car and almost all of those are highway driving or small town driving. There is almost no rust on the car and the mechanic who usually maintains the car said it is in good shape. What are the problems that I could expect to have on this type of car? Are there things that are 100% guaranteed to break on the a3 2009 model? What is the usual cost of maintenance for these cars? Is this car easy to repair at home? I have owned a 1987 300td Mercedes wagon for the last 8 years so I can repair most issues with it and how no problem working around the car. But the audi is much newer and has a completely different electrical system. Thanks for your advice and help.

Hi, I am currently looking for a 2008-2010 Audi A4 Avant.... not too worried if 2.0 diesel or petrol but would prefer the S Line or Limited Edition. What are the big things i should check please? i've noticed several adverts saying they have had water pumps changed which on a fairly newish car seems a little worrying... Not worried about recalls as i can check with Audi whats outstanding when i get one more worried about anything costly that could result in even more expense if not done :/ Thanks in advance for any tips :) Cant wait to get one

Hi there, I've just bought a new Audi A3 and love it very much. It's way way better then my old punto and polo. It's great to see there is such an amazing Audi community on this site that I can proudly be part of. I've got a question which I was wondering you guys could help me with. My AC only turns on when it's on full power (Level 4). However it does work properly on level 4 and the air is nice and cold. It doesn't blow out any air on levels 1,2 and 3 on normal roads. On the motorway, the other levels suddenly and magically decide to blow out cold air appropriately. Where could the issue be? Many thanks in advance
