Hi all, First time posting on here, apologies if i'm not posting in the right area but I'm in need of some advice if possible. I've got an A5 3.0 V6 TDI (not quattro version) and I think I've got an issue with two injectors. I've had a mobile mechanic out to look at it and he's suggesting there's nothing wrong with the injectors but there is an issue with the exhaust manifold. Issues are: Car is shaking quite a lot on idle and also when slowing down to a stop Fuel leaking from two injectors (front left and front right injectors) - I took it to a mate of mine who's good with cars and he pointed out there was diesel running down the engine from two of the injectors although it wasn't a lot. Strong smell of exhaust inside cabin (although i'd say its more like a cooking oil smell) Loud ticking noise coming from engine I had a mobile mechanic come out to look at it a week later and there was no fuel leaking from either injector, he didn't think there was an issue with them but I disagreed. He noticed some gunk at the exhaust manifold and said that it looks like the seals have gone on both sides. I've googled the issues and there seems to be a few threads about injector issues causing gunk to leak out of ports in the exhaust albeit its usually black gunk and mine isn't. I've uploaded a video of one side of the manifold, is the mobile mechanic correct in the manifold needs re-sealing or is the gunk likely caused by the injector issue? I'm not great with cars so any advice is greatly appreciated! IMG_6968.MP4

Hi, First time on this so apologies if I end up posting on the incorrect forum or anything but would really appreciate any help right now. The problem is in regards to my 2009 Audi A5 Coupe 2LT which I purchased a year ago and carried out a full service upon purchase. More or less for the past 8 - 9 months the car does tend to smoke when idling (sometimes worse than others i.e. at times the smoke would be heavy after 30 seconds and others itll take a while longer). During this time, i've noticed i've been topping up the oil more frequently than I feel i should, within my time of owning the car i've done around 7-8k miles. I've recently been to a garage who claim my valve stem seals are the main issue for the smoke on idle. I've done some research as to what causes the issue and the 'symptoms'. However, I just want to know how serious is this problem or can I possibly keep my car running like this for another year or so? Thanks for any help in advance

I am looking to test drive and buy a 2012 Black Edition Audi A5 Auto 3.0 S-Tronic. The car has done 166k on the clock which I know is high mileage but has full-service history with services every 18k at Audi dealer garage. I have been told that I should ask Audi about the chain but they say its not a serviceable part. Then others say that it should be changed with such high miles. I don't know who to believe or what the costs of a change would be. Any help appreciated or things to ask/look out for appreciated.

Due to a new job I have been given a company car, it’s so hard to let this car go and I am now selling my pride and joy. Only drove by myself 20 miles a day. My Audi A5 3.0 Litre S-Line Quattro 62 plate facelift in Pearl Gun Metal Grey. A Very rare one off type as it’s been custom colour coded. I have spent thousands on paint work and upgraded the whole front bumper to the Black Edition PLUS which is also the same as the rs5 with grille and a sport spoiler. The following has been custom painted black - Roof, side skirts, rear diffuser, mirrors, window moulding, front bumper lip, boot lid spoiler. The front headlights have been upgraded to the latest 2015 with upgraded 8000k bulbs and upgraded LED fog lights and front indicator lights. Also the reversing lights have been upgraded to blue tint LED. Windows and rear lights have been tinted. Original RS6 alloys that have been painted black like how you paint the car not cheap powder coating. Top of the range Good Year Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyres. Custom vibrant blue painted callipers with S-line badge. I don’t drive fast but it is fast and amazing handling in both wet and dry conditions. Very smooth and quiet on the roads. Everywhere I go it always turns heads and the amount of compliments I get and the same words like “it’s a beast” of a car. I could honestly go on and talk about my car all day. Please see link below for the specs: https://www.parkers.co.uk/audi/a5/co...-tronic/specs/ It’s one of a kind and I would never imagine selling it only because of a new job and company car. Once you see it you won’t be able to take your eyes off it, truly one of a kind.

The parcel shelf clip/peg on my 2012 A5 has unfortunately snapped off. Does anyone know where I can pick another one up? There seem to be some on Ebay but they're kits which seem a bit overpriced, is this the only way of obtaining one? Can I use another model's clip? On Ebay the Q7 clips seem cheaper but probably they're no use to me. Any info is much appreciated.

Hello, a new user here, am hoping someone can give me some advice, I recently ordered a new A5 Sportback 2.0 TFSI 190 Bhp, however due to an ordering mix up they are delivering the 252 Bhp version (also non Quattro). This does not seem to have an effect on tax or insurance, and fuel consumption is marginal (who believes those numbers anyway). Does anyone have any thoughts on why I would reject the order and start again. They are offering the car at the 190 Bhp price. I am low mileage, mostly city driving and rarely go above any speed limits so not looking for high performance. Should I be concerned about higher maintenance, servicing, parts costs, reliability or anything else?? Thanks, appreciate any comments

Long winded intro but bear with me!! :D Been a dubber for years, but fancied a change around this time last year, bought a BMW 3 series, ok car, but i stupidly opted for a gutless 2.0 petrol engine, honestly it wouldn't keep up with a 1.2 city car. Was made redundant after 8 years a few weeks back (got a new job same week) so had a few pennies in my pocket, BMW had to go.. Spotted this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzPZ8YgKh8Q Deal was done in a matter of hours, what a night and day difference in quality, looks and dare i say build quality, next on the agenda is a few choice retrofits :) Danny
