Hi Folks, New Audi owner here...Black edition A6 Avant C7. Over the moon bar one or 2 issues...one being related to maps! Please help? I've scoured the internet for information and have some but i am a typical over thinker and as such, require confirmation and help on things before jumping in two-footed 😐 My physical location is well far off my GPS location. I am in Birmingham for example (UK) and the GPS thinks i am in Scotland. After reading around, i understand there is a water ingress issue with the shark fin arials on the C7's potentially..I want to ensure it's not just software before going down faulty hardware route - i need to establish this ASAP so that if it is hardware, i can take back to the dealer (which is a considerable distance from me, so i'd like to be sure). My question - How do i update maps myself? Local audi dealer has been useless... I can't even get in to talk to them. I have requested an audi connect code (another issue i've got as cannpot get connect services to work correctly) from them as i don't have the original one and it's hurdle after hurdle. Map updates too seem extortinate and would rather self-install in case that isn't the problem at all... My current MMI version is: MHI2_ER_AU57x_S2519_1 ..... I BELIEVE i need to update to MHI2_ER_AU57x_K3663 ....... I have found a few places online to download the files but i don't particularly trust them and want to be sure i get the correct version (i have read it differs depending on sound system and subtle changes to software code may need changing - I have Bose sound and if i'm reading in the correct places this means the update software is slightly different - can anyone confirm?)....So sorry for dragging this out, i guess my question is can anyone please advise on a suitable location to obtain the correct update files (other than audi) so i can investigate software vs hardware fault? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and Hi, i'm Lewis 🙂 I like to get involved in online communities and having purchased an Audi very recently, i hope i can be part of this one and gain useful info as well as contribute what i know and discover along the way should it become relevant. Tinker by trade and love playing about with things (no dirty jokes please). BR, Lewis

Hi folks I am looking for genuine 19” alloys for my 2016 A5 Sportback black edition plus. dealer quote is nearly £1000 per wheel😫 Any ideas?

Hi, hope you're all keeping well. I have a 2019 A5 Black Edition and I'm trying to think of some cosmetic mods to add that personal element. I currently have the following in mind: Blacked out badges/engine designation etc (the 35 TFSI badges aren't easy to find) Paint the brake calipers red or another colour (unsure if if this is a bit much for such a car - opinions?) Slightly bigger rear spoiler lip (similar to those you see on M4s but not as ostentatious) Front slitter extension lip to add more of a presence Maybe tinted rear lights? What do you all think of the above? And what else would you recommend? Cheers

I am new to the A3 section but not on this website as I post a few things in the A6 C7 forums but that car is being handed back to the Finance Company ASAP and instead, I have downgraded to a late-2019 Audi A3. On paper this A3 will be saving me a few hundred notes each month of which is the main reason for the change, plus I do more short journeys now and not ideal for the diesel A6. A3 Sportback 35 TFSI Black Edition S-Tronic (PS). 69-Plate. Quantum Grey and only had 3400 miles on the clock from new. It has the high Tech' pack (Bang & Oulfsen system and Virtual Cockpit). I have only had the car a few days and so far, its an excellent car and very solid with the sports suspension. Only two downsides, in Comfort mode, the steering is still heavy and also, when reversing, the nearside wing mirror does not lower to see the kerb automatically when Reverse gear is selected. Okay, I lose a few luxuries off the existing A6 (leather seats, electric seats and the 750-miles to empty range after filling up), but that is not going to spoil things for me. Many apologies if this is posted in the wrong section of the forums.

Hi there, I recently purchased an Audi A3 8P Black edition 2010 (facelift model) and wanted to install powerfolding mirrors. Please let me know if you guys know and whether u can recommend anything in performing this modification. Thanks in advance 🙂.

Hi, I need some advice on purchasing an Audi from a pre-approved used Audi dealership. I have fallen for an Audi A3 Black edition sportback TDI 2012, however it lacks a few features that I wanted. I have been searching for about a month for a black edition that ticks all the boxes, the pre-approved one has come near. Features I want: Cruise Control Audi navigation plus with an extended lighting cable. The Audi sales rep said that the specification I wanted is quite rare, as black editions are rare in themselves. He said I could go to an Audi service centre and they may retrofit the features. After contacting Audi and being referred to my local Audi service manager, I have yet to hear back from them in over 2 weeks. I am aware Audi will charge me substantially more, but it gives me peace of mind. Has anyone had features retrofitted via an Audi service centre? Should I just keep searching?

Hello everyone. Never posted on this forum myself but here goes. Was slowly pulling out a side road after a bus flashed me to go and got hit by a moped who narrowly overtook the bus and was blind to me and I was blind to him. Rider hit front right wing and flipped onto bonnet. Luckily damage wasn't too bad(could be worse) and the bumper and front right alloy wheel is fine, but the right wing is quite badly crumpled and there are a few fairly large dents on the bonnet. Moped rider said he will cover his own costs and since the damages were not worth making a claim, I am going to get the repairs done myself. I was wondering what kind of cost it will be to repair the bonnet, and whether it can be repaired easily or has to be completely replaced. I was planning on replacing just the wing for now and sorting out the bonnet later in summer but am not sure if it is better to get it all fixed in one go since paint may need to be blended into the panels(was going to buy wing as pre-painted part and fit it). Also I have some slight laquer peel on my rare bumper so maybe buying an unpainted wing, repairing the bonnet, then getting all 3 parts painted as well as blending into the door maybe a better idea, but have no idea what kind of costs it may come to. From what I know: Wing(unpainted)- £35 Wing(Painted)-£140 I can DIY fit it Bonnet(unpainted)-£110 needs to be painted and fitted professionally Bonnet REPAIR: £????? Sorry if I dragged this out but I'm struggling to make this decision. I appreciate any help! Thank you

Hi all,I've got a 62 (Jan 13) reg Audi A4 Avant Black Edition (1.8 TFSI) with 104k miles on the clock..Recently it has started to develop some issues which is typical as i'd like to sell it as barely using it anymore.1. PDC have just started to not work.. orange light flashed on the button2. Air Con won't cool or heat up3. When I engage reverse, the car takes a little bit of time to engage the gear. (is this normal)4. Lights and started pointing in different directions.. (think cross-eyed)5. Second key doesn't workAnyway, I'd like to get this all fixed as otherwise the car is perfect and is very well looked after and spotless inside and out.Any tips on where to take it and what sort of bill to expect before selling?Bought from Pinner Motors last Jan for 12k, full service history and will be serviced before selling.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/servic.../pinner-cars-pinner-dpp-10008434/sort/defaultWould like to get at least 10k.Thank you all! Based in London SWLiam

Hi all Picked up my first German car on Friday being an A3 1.8TFSI Black Edition, Sportback after previously buying Peugeot/Citreon motors and being into the old modifying lark in my younger years. Small amounts still sit with me now, don't think it ever leaves you! But was time to chop the old car in and get something a bit more practical with more doors, but still with a bit of fun to it. So far I'm loving it! So smooth and quiet to drive which wouldn't have been hard coming from a 13 year old 206GTi with a noisy aftermarket exhaust! Only thing I was surprised at is little things like auto wipers and lights not being a standard considering I had them on my old car. But I'll get used to that and love how bright the headlights are on this! Will be keeping this pretty stock, apart from I'll be debadging the rear soon. Considering upgrading the stereo to something I can bluetooth directly to, currently got a bluetooth auxillary dongle which is doing the trick for now. Have been really impressed with the Bose speakers though! The idea of a stage 1 remap and a RS3 style mesh front grill also sound appealing, but we'll see. Anyway, hi from me! Ads

Hi. I recently purchased a 2014 A6 Avant 2.0 tdi ultra black edition, which I believe is the latest 190PS engine. I was told the car would do around 60MPG combined, which I understand is never going to be realistic but still I would expect 50MPG when driven carefully on a long run. Now the car is mostly used by my wife to do short 2-3 mile journeys daily, mostly school runs and trips to the supermarket. Now I know this sort of driving is not going to give the best MPG, but I am only getting around 34MPG and in some instances 25-30MPG. I bought the car partly for its MPG, but this is crazy as it costs £80 to fill up and doesn't take long for it to need refilling. The car is driven slowly in ECO mode, but is this correct that I am getting such a low MPG? I hope someone else can shed some light if they have had similar experiences as I am seriously considering selling it for something more fuel efficient for this type of driving. Any thoughts on a alternative car would be much appreciated. thanks Ben

Hi All, I've always wanted a black edition A3 since I started driving 3 years ago, I almost bought one 6 months ago however backed out last minute as it was a private sale and I just didn't have enough trust in a stranger to purchase it. I spoke to Audi and they have found me the following car, please can you let me know if it's worth the money and if it will last 3-4 years. 2.0 TDI (140) 62000 Miles FASH 12 Month MOT 12 Month Warranty White Black Edition Rotor Wheels Sep 2009 Model 1 Owner £11900 Are these engines reliable as I know they was some problems with the original 2.0 TDI 140. Is the car over priced? Much appreciated. Thank you. Tom

I am writing this post as a plea for HELP in the hope I can track down my stolen Audi A4. Thieves helped themselves to it from outside my house (in NOTTINGHAM) on the night of Friday 9th Oct and I thought I might post here in case anyone locally or not locally might have seen it parked / dumped or anything else. Car details: Audi A4 Black Edition 1.8 TFSI, colour is black and it has the 19" black edition 5 spoke rotor wheels. Reg is RV12 RLU. If anyone may have seen it since Oct 9th please DM me and call 101 to report it. Thanks.

I just wanted to say hi to everyone here :) . I’ve just upgraded my “commute car” which was this: With it’s 1.34l engine and mahooosive 99bhp, I felt like an old man pottering to and from work. The biggest problem with it, though, was the torsion beam rear axle which provide the single most uninspired drive I have ever had the pleasure of falling asleep to (and I should know, being an anaesthetist). So in the search for a slightly more ...erm... spirited drive combined with wanting AWD for when it snows or rains, I went looking for a suitable upgrade. As my sister owns A4's and I am impressed with them, I was looking at S3's, Quattro's, Golf R's and similar, all of which are quick but not too fast coupled with solid build quality and a premium feel. So in the end I settled on this: It's a Audi 2.0 TFSI Quattro Black Edition. Additions over my old Jazz are full leather interior, satnav, (opening) sunroof, Xenons, 4WD. On the downside, it's DSG so I'm not sure how i'll cope without a good ol' manual gearshift, but the flappy paddles might be a good middle ground. It also has the Bose speaker upgrade in which apparently (correct me if I'm wrong) only the sub is a bit crap (so I will take the active Alpine 8" DVC out of the Jazz and put it into this one). Apart from that, I don't think the spec requires any additions from me. Being Used Approved means I get the 1 year Warranty and they’ll fix all the minor niggles prior to me collecting it (hopefully next weekend) which include: Bonnet slightly misaligned (no previous accidents but it needs to be adjusted by them as the panel gap on the drivers side is twice as big as the passenger side) Both rear tyres bald - they'll be replaced BIG paint chip passenger lower sill to be made good drivers fog grill enclosure loose/broken - will be replaced rear window scratched where is looks like the rear wiper was used without a blade being in it - doh! The scratch is where the metal mount point on the wiper arm is. If they can't polish it out they said they'll replace the rear window. apparently an ipod cable is included (I couldn't find it in the cabin) They'll give me 1 years tax disc as well :) I think I also get Audi insurance for 7 days for free (gives to time to arrange Direct Line to switch my policy from my old Jazz). Any downsides to this? (hopefully there won't be any hidden charges). Also be prepared to answer other weird and wonderful questions in the upcoming months as I get used to owning my first ( ;)) Audi.....
