Hi all! having issues with Car, Never managed to pair Bluetooth. Get the message “your telephone may not be connected or attached properly”. Had passenger seat out and checked the module for water, no water and can hear it clicking on and off. Tried updating to 5570 and have done disk 2 several times with the same thing every time won’t update the Bluetooth. Next thing to see is if someone can test it and check. Anyone else had this issue? tom

Hi All, Skip down to TL:DR if you're impatient.... The title of the post sounds a bit grandiose, I grant you, but I am hoping the various Search Engines out there will pick it up and guide people here. I recently updated my MMI MIB2 ("Modular Infotainment Baukasten v2", aka MMI 4G), which is the Infotainment system in my 2017 A6, to version K3663 so that I can have Android Auto (and/or the Apple flavoured 'CarPlay' variant) and also update the SatNav to more modern maps... Coincidentally I also changed my Mobile Phone from an old Sony to a more modern Samsung... I have always absolutely loved the deep, bass-ridden 'Voice' notification 'Ringtone' in the MMI system that - when your Mobile Phone is ringing - announces "You... Have an incoming call..." but all of a sudden, after the software update, it is gone! Dismay! Panic! Grief and mourning! I was gutted. After some searching I found that more modern phones now play out their own Ringtone over the Bluetooth Phone Connection, rather than letting the connected accessory (Ear Buds, Speaker, or in this case - Car) play you its own Ringtone sounds - and if this is the case then the Audi MMI system either hides all the 'Ringtone' settings, or states they are "Not supported by mobile device". But fear not my Audi compatriots - solutions are at hand... TL:DR ------------------------------ If you are happy with your Phone's OWN Ringtone playing out over your car's speakers, but you hear nothing but silence when your phone is ringing, then the chances are that the default volume (Zero!) has not been adjusted since you last paired the current mobile device... Simply arrange for someone to call you on your phone with the car all powered up and paired, then using the Car volume controls (on the centre console or steering wheel) turn up the volume whilst the phone is still ringing until you hear your lovely ringtone reverberating throughout the car. Joy! Problem solved! The setting will be remembered for that phone, regardless as to the settings on the actual phone (if you mute your phone sounds the car will still play out your ringtone when you get a call). ------------------------------ If, like me, you want to hear Audi's Ringtone notification sounds AND you own a Samsung then the following should resolve the issue for you... Pair your phone with the car as normal... Make arrangements to receive a call, as above, and turn up the volume to ensure you hear something - the phone's own Ringtone, probably... Now, on your Samsung phone go to Settings --> Connections --> Bluetooth --> Advanced (using the three dots in the top-right corner of the 'Bluetooth' screen) and look for the setting named "Ringtone Sync" - if it is there then turn that sucker OFF! Next, go back to the 'Bluetooth' screen and switch it off, count to 5, and back on again. You will have to 'Connect' the phone again using the controls on the car and the phone - it will still be paired, just needs to be connected. Finally, on your car's MMI system go to Phone --> Settings --> Volume and you should find that the Ringtone selection and Ringtone Volume settings have reappeared! Simply select the ringtone you desire, and the volume at which you'd like to hear it, and then arrange one final test of being called on your phone to hear your desired choice of Audi Ringtone massage your ears and bring that smile back to your face. ------------------------------ If you don't own a Samsung then I'm afraid I don't know what to tell you... The equivalent of Samsung's "Ringtone Sync" setting is most likely on your phone somewhere - I ask that others who know their non-Samsung phones better to add in the comments below how they turned off that setting for themselves so that we finally have one central repository as to how to fix this annoying situation. (It took me three days of searching, reading, and experimentation to find this myself) ------------------------------ And hey, if you found this useful then maybe you should join the forum here and ask or answer your own questions for each other! This is, after all, the best Audi Owners Forum I've found to date... All the best, Tigger

Hello. I have recently purchased a 2013 A4 S Line Black edition, I am having difficulty connecting the Bluetooth for audio. I have bought several aftermarket leads that plug in to the adapter in the glove box and none of them appear to be working. Any advice on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Guys, Complete newbie here, apologies this question has probably been asked 100s of times, ive done some reading but cant find an answer help required !! Ive just got myself a 2014 Audi A5, black edition, Quattro, flat bottom steering wheel, 7 speed auto, flappy paddle, bang and olusfen sound system, a few nice bits, so I thought I was getting a decent spec Audi, I fell into the trap of not getting the MMI 3g+. I was disappointed that it only comes with the Audi Concert system, with media interface, I can't even stream music via bluetooth. What options do I have to stream music via bluetooth ? Ive have read a few owners have purchased the £95.00 ami to bluetooth adapters but they haven't worked, as you can appreciate £95.00 for something not to work would be a hard pill to swallow. Have any owners overcome this issue with a working solution for a car simmilar spec and age ? Thanks In advance ! regards Aaron

Hi All, hope everyone is keeping well. I have just had a Warranty repair carried out on my A6 Ultra with the MMI system and Navigation. Ever since I picked up the car in November 2016 (from new), the Navigation system has always been slow and laggy to a point where my previous Audi (2014 A4) seemed to have a much better system. For the past 18-months, the main issue is with the Bluetooth system, where at times, the Bluetooth in the car will either turn the Bluetooth OFF or will turn OFF the Discovery option. Also, when making calls, the echo, crackly and distorted calls can be so difficult to hear what's being said to a point where I have had to end the call, park up and use my iPhone without pairing to my MMI to continue the call. The original MMI version; Software - RMC_EU_P16092 / Navigation - 8X0919884J P32-50-15.03 / Bluetooth - 3.70.3 Upon investigation at the Audi Service Centre, they did find a fault with the Navigation SD card and I was informed the MMI needed a software update. A new Navigation SD card had to be ordered and it has now been recently fitted along with a MMI update to the version below; Software - RMC_EU_P16342 / Navigation 8X0919884J P32-50-15.03 / Bluetooth - 3.70.6 I cannot fault the Audi Service Centre for everything they have done, but I am still experiencing issues with the Bluetooth telephone calls with the distortion issues. I have an iPhone 8 Plus (iOS 12.3.2) and this is a replacement phone (from Apple) but my previous iPhone had the same issues. I have had a replacement SIM (3 Store) and since the MMI and Bluetooth updates, the Reception in the car is better but some calls are still affected by the crackling and distortion. This issue is very much intermittent. I have even made test calls in the car whilst using my iPad to record the sound so I can show the Audi Engineer, but every time I do this test, the phone calls are normal (how typical). Does anyone else have any iPhone-Bluetooth issues when making/receiving calls? I have no access to any other phone, so I cannot test this option.

Hi there, I have just picked up a 2010 B8 A4 Avant and am trying to work out what i adapter i need in order to play my iphone music (spotify) through the speakers. After looking at various forums i can't get a clear consensus of what works for my concert stereo (which has B&O speakers). The software version is SW0350, but i can't work out what version MMI i have. I've tried buying an adaptor on ebay but it doesnt work, also considering the Bovee Tune2Air but its alot more expensive then most adapters Can anyone recommended a bluetooth or cable adapter that will work with my MMI and allow me to play music on my iphone. Thanks Alex

I have just bought an Audi Q7 S line 2006. Im thinking of buying the play2air Bluetooth connection so I can stream the audio from my iphone but I cant find the 10pin connector anywhere? There is nothing in the glove compartment apart from the airbag switch. the car is equipped with MMI with satnav, phone etc, although its not letting me import my contacts for some reason? Can anyone tell me where to find it and how to import my contacts to the MMI? Thanks,

Hi everyone, hope someone can shed some light! I have a 2006 audi Q7 s-line. has MMI 2G+ (Colour screen in speedo). When I press TEL on the centre console it comes up with 'Telephone not installed', I know this is common for loads of people. Have looked under the seat and located the telephone module which has the bluetooth logo on the sticker but there is no cradle in the centre armrest. I have connected VCDS to the car and there is no communication with 77- Telephone unit and I've tried everything to activate it. I have done the update to 5570, however when I tried doing CD2 there was no option to update the telephone. As it seemed like the unit was faulty i ordered another (used) module which the seller guaranteed was working and still no luck. im starting to wonder if there is maybe a wiring fault, I have plugged the module in to the power plug and left the MOST plug out, the red light from the unit itself lights up but seems like certain positions of the cables make it go on and off. Not sure if its meant to be steady on or pulse randomly? I have closed the gap on the pins in the plug but still the same. Its driving me insane! i know the car definitely worked in the past as there was contacts saved to the MMI from a previous owner. Any help appreciated!

Just bought my first Audi Q7 3.0 TDI S line 2006. Had no issues connecting my iphone 8 via Bluetooth but it wont import my contacts, I have read many reviews that talk about Audi dealer resets but is there anything I can do to get it working? Also, I would like to play my music through the car, I have heard tune2air is the best Bluetooth device out there but first does anyone know if I need this, the car has sat nav but when I go to CD option the only source is CD. Apologies if I am simply navigating the wrong menu, I haven't had the time to have a good play with it yet : ) Thanks in advance.

Hi all, Had my 63 plate a6 for about 4 months now. When I first got it, Bluetooth calling and music streaming was fine with no issues. But now it seems like it struggles to connect to the phone, and when it does it seems to cut in and out as if something is affecting the reception. If I sit my phone in the little storage compartment under the heating controls it works fine. But when I put it in the armrest it struggles to pick it up. I have reset Bluetooth settings and deleted the car from my phones devices, any ideas or suggestions? Another fault is when I connect my phone via the lightening to mmi interface cable (iPhone 6) is that it more often than not begins to cycle rapidly through my entire song catalogue on my phone, playing a second of each song before skipping to the next. Again any help on this would be much appreciated 😊.

Hello, I own an audi a3 2006 with a double din concert radio system (i have no aux, blue tooth or cd changer), it seems that there's an adapter for other concert radios but every one i find online either has different newer iso blocks or a different wiring set-up. Is there an adapter out there that i can use on this wiring set-up or do i have to spend an arm and a leg on a new radio system.

Hi all I have a Concert head unit in my A3 2012 and it has the Bluetooth hands free system installed but I am wanting to fit a Bluetooth system so I can stream music from my iPhone. I have the 30 pin iPod system in the glove box is there a way I can utilize that to fit something for a reasonable price? Any suggestions would be appreciated cheers Bubba

Evening all, I've had my Audi S4 2010 B8 for two weeks now and I'm loving it! Having an issue playing music from Spotify on my phone though. I've been told I do need some sort of bluetooth adapter that plugs into the slot in the glovebox to connect to that to then stream music from my iPhone 6S. I've looked on American (recommended by others in forums) sites for a bluetooth adapter but there are different types; 2GEN and 3GEN. I'm not sure which MMI I am running! Here's a photo of my centre console. I'd also prefer to purchase my 'adapter' from a UK supplier. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks a lot, Andrew.

Hi everyone, my first post and I have had a look around and cannot find anyone who can help at all. My Samsung s7 is paired with my car. I was on a call yesterday and the call ended but the person's name is still displayed on my cars information screen. The concert radio system still says I am on the phone. I cannot use the radio or cd and cannot make a call, because it still thinks I'm on a call. I have had the radio out, disconnected it, turned the car on and the name of the person is still displayed near the tachometer. Help please!!! Cheers, Ollie

Hi all, Brand new Audi A6, bit of trouble with pairing iPhone 5s, wondering if anyone else is encountering similar problems. iPhone 5s iOS 9.3.2 Audi Bluetooth firmware 3.7 (latest I believe...hopefully they roll them out the factory on the latest update!) Phone pairs with Audi, phone pairs for media and plays media though MMI/car stereo no problem (this includes music, and general phone sounds such as volume up, lock screen etc etc). However when making calls there is no audio link even though the phone dials and automatically selects the Audi device for speaker connectivity (rather than iPhone or iPhone speaker) I feel it's more likely to be an iOS bluetooth bug with the latest software update as I've had varying degrees of bad luck with other Apple devices on the same build. Anyone else having any of these troubles? Cheers in advance.

Hi all Just bought an 09 plate Q5 & it looks like it doesn't have the Bluetooth module installed with the current system (Audi concert sound system) any ideas if this can be activated or requires a module to be fitted? When you press the button on the system it advises that the phone is not active I'm also looking to get it mapped (south coast) so any recommendations for who to see, or not see would be helpful Last one on the list is an LED rear light upgrade & xenon front light upgrade, I've looked @ OEM options, has anyone had any experience of after market options, again, good & bad Thanks Ginny

Firstly, hello everyone! I've just bought myself a 2009 A4 Avant B8, I'm loving it so far but unfortunately it doesn't have Bluetooth/A2DP Bluetooth music streaming :( currently it has a horrible parrot kit installed (something I have never liked in any car) and I'm looking into an OEM style inter grated alternative. so far I have done quite a bit of searching around and I have found the Viseeo Talk2can ip6 which seems to promise everything I'm after, has anyone got any experience with this or can anyone suggest a solution? also is there anyone on here that is local to Reading/Basingstoke that has VCDS/vag-com that would be able to change the settings for me so that whatever I install will work? Thanks in advance, James

My 2011 SE does not have the Audi bluetooth system fitted but has the multifunction steering wheel - my question is is the Audi system much superior to the fiscon and what would the difference be - where can I get an Audi system from ? I've looked everywhere -- the car has a symphony radio system in it

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me, it is driving me mad. I have an A6 Quattro 30tdi 2004 it has a cordless Motorola wired in phone in the arm rest, it also says I have Bluetooth so I asked the local Audi deeler if they had a new cradle for my iPhone 5 to connect to the MMI system they told me no. But my wife's Samsung will connect via Bluetooth but my iPhone will not. Can anybody tell me what to do? What setting I need to change or any advice would be much appreciated . I only want to make a call with out getting arrested. Please help? Mike t
