  1. Hi there, I am currently in the market for an a4 s line 2.0tfsi quattro B7 and was just wondering if anyone knows of any common faults that I should look out for when it comes to viewing the car. Many thanks, James.
  2. Hi there. I'm currently looking to sell my mercedes e350 as I need something with 4 wheel drive that can tow. I don't really want an SUV type, so am thinking that the A6 Allroad would be a really good option. That said, I'm hearing lots of horror stories on air suspension failures and monstrous repair bills. However, they mostly seem to be on older models. I'm probably looking at a 2014 or 2015 model, so my question is..... Is this age of Allroad susceptible to the same airbag problems or did Audi manage to sort it out? Any advice really would be most appreciated Thanks
  3. I have a Audi A4 2007 B7 170. I have had the car mapped to 220 increasing it by 50 Bhp but time has now come where im due a cluth and fly wheel but want a upgrade. Does anybody have any recommendations on what i should get? Been told dark side developments are good? Plus i got a consistent dpf problem flashes up with the glow plug light with the dpf light and sometimes the engine management light the car goes in limp mode here and there then goes back to normal but throws out black smoke which is a bit odd. Been told i need a new turbo which i doubt. Any help and advice will be very much appreciated. Thank you
  4. I have an Audi A3, 1.6 Technik, Petrol, 2011. 44,000 miles. I have had the car from new and i have not had any problems. The last few months it has developed a fault when the car intermittently won't start ( no pattern ) sometimes first thing in the morning or after a trip out in the car, get back in and it won't start. No warning sights it's going to happen or anything different on the dash. Sometimes just before it cuts out it loses all power and then stalls, again no warning signs on the dash. Only once has the emission control warning light came on. I took the car to a garage to get this checked out and the car placed onto a diagnostic device. A lot of communication messages came up but no error code. An auto electrician did so checks and the two sensors either side of the catalytic converter were checked and again showed no error. when the car does cut out and try to start it again it has a faint burnt smell which is similar to rotten eggs. Any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks
  5. I've recently been having an issue when starting my car. It turns over fine but then drops from 1000 revs to cutting out. It can take more than half a dozen attempts to get the car running and white smoke comes out when it does. The engine won't rev either when you press the accelerator. The car has 109000 miles on but has been fully serviced and has also had egr/dpf mod and remap in the last year. Any suggestions?
  6. HELLO I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME.. MY BUILT IN SAT NAV(MMI) HAD A FAULTY DVD/SAT NAV LENS AND WAS`NT READING MY SAT NAV DISK.. SO I GOT A USED UNIT AND SWAPPED THE CD DRIVE.. MY SAT NAV SCREEN IS NOW STUCK ON "SAT NAV INITIALING, PLEASE WAIT" JUST WONDERED IF GETTIN THE CD NAVIGATION UNIT RECODED WILL SOLVE MY PROBLEM.. THANKS IN ADVANCE..
  7. hi, I'd like to buy a used a6 (c5). i heard that the 2.5 tdi engine of the a6(c4) is durable. My question is how the 2.5 v6 tdi engine. How durable, how tends to failure? Thanks in advance for your answers.
